What makes them finicky.?
Here's the inside scoop on why GSC can be so finicky:
1. She's Super Sensitive
GSC throws a fit if her environment isn't just right.
• Heat: She likes it mild and sunny, like a California day (think 70-80°F). If it gets any hotter, she gets stressed, and that's like sending a written invitation for spider mites to move in. • Bud Rot: This is the big one. Her buds get incredibly dense and tight, which is awesome, but it's also a perfect trap for moisture. If your humidity is too high in the last few weeks of flower, you'll get bud rot, and it will ruin your harvest. It's heartbreaking. • Humidity Rules: Keep the humidity around 40-50% while she's growing big and green (veg). Once you flip her to flower, you gotta drop that down to 35-40% to keep that mold away. Get a good dehumidifier. 2. She's a Hungry, Hungry Girl
This plant is a heavy feeder, but she's picky about what's on the menu.
Cal-Mag Fiend: GSC is famous for sucking down Calcium and Magnesium. If you don't give her extra, the leaves will start to yellow between the veins and her stems will get weak. Have a bottle of Cal-Mag ready before you even start. • Perfect pH: If your pH is off, she'll starve, even if you're feeding her the good stuff. Keep your water right around 6.2 for soil. If you're in coco, aim for 5.8. Don't get lazy with your pH pen. • Light & Food: To get those rock-hard, super frosty nugs everyone raves about, you need to blast her with strong light and feed her a heavy diet. Don't skimp. 3. She Grows Kinda Funny • Slow Starter: Don't freak out if she seems tiny and slow for the first few weeks. GSC takes her sweet time getting started in veg, but she'll eventually hit a growth spurt. • Short & Bushy: She tends to grow into a dense little bush. You have to do some training (like topping or LST) to spread her out. If you don't, light won't get down to the lower branches, and you'll end up with a bunch of fluffy, sad little buds. • Get Ready to Prop Her Up: Those buds get so heavy and dense that they can literally snap the branches. Seriously. You'll need stakes, a trellis net, or something to hold them up when she gets chunky.
The TL;DR for a killer GSC harvest:

Keep her environment stable, get that humidity down in flower, and never, ever forget to give her extra Cal-Mag. Good luck

Doesnt this count for every strain?😅

I love GSC i've had the thin mint cut for more then a year as a mother, i remember they stretch like hell and hate stress because they make balls very quick! maybe put that on a side note.

I am following!

Hey and welcome to the Farm!

Cookies is an overcrossed & breeded strain. Lean to herm, not very stable.(Had no hermas)
Very much side branches, and too much popcorn buds(not popcorn but small buds because of hundred side branches and still rock hard), great yield!
Hard to find the right way to get the best out of her. I mainlined and scrogged oreoz cookies once(growers choice original oreoz), was crazy loving it(gone super wide, half of my 3x3 tent)
A good cure gave her nice terpenes, without smelled and taste like typical Cali(burned rubber), nice purple colors.
Not my strain to choose tbh, I just hate the side branch growth.
Wish y good luck and y'll have some fun!
