Grown since 2025! Backyard shed edition!

Pollinated branch? Either way its great way to mark the happenings of something : ) See I could not do that. I would finish doing something with the plant then I would wrap the long end and put it under the pot. 😎

Hello Farmers! I'm getting back to my roots and doing things the hard way again. Circumstances prevent me from growing in the house so the shit show will be in the backyard now. Space and resources are limited so this thread will mostly be about making the best out of a difficult situation.

I have a 4 by 6 resin shed from Costco, a 2 by 4 tent, spider farmer sf-2000 and Cali lightworks uv-b. Two 4" AC infinity fans for intake and exhaust and a small circulation fan to handle air movement. The intake and exhaust are piped directly outside bypassing the shed entirely. I'm going to try to run positive pressure in this setup in an attempt to mitigate the effects of hot air in the tent and help keep critters out.

That's about as far as I've got and will finish assembling it today. Hopefully in a week it will be tuned up and ready for some plants.

mount solar panel in top use the energy and shield the top at the same time,{harbor freight }

Outside temp is currently 61Β° with 84% rh. It's been pouring rain all day. Lights came on at 4pm and the tent is holding the parameters I set really well. All that's left is waiting for the beans to pop.

I can see now that humidity will be my greatest challenge with this grow. Today during lights off it was equal to the outside ambient at 85% and that's with no plants inside!!!

I have an old Vivosun tent dehumidifier but it's a small peltier process unit and basically useless.

I will take the same approach I've always had and just roll with the punches until the wheels fall off lol πŸ’š

hang a couple damp rid in tent and plastic box

Hi, what's your favorite cookie recipe lately? Inquiring minds and all,

I finally figured out why my SF-2000 was not producing enough power. The potentiometer on the dimmer has shit the bed! πŸ’©

I removed it and the light is back to 100% power again. Before I was barely getting 700 umols up top, now that's up to 1000.

If anyone else runs into this problem it's an easy fix to open the box and detach the dimmer connection. Obviously, the downside is the light will have to be run full blast for the rest of its life. For now it's better than replacing it!

We're currently finishing up week 5 of flower.

Sometimes the pot is just dirty and if you turn it up and down a half dozen times it usually fixes it. But you probably already tried that. Replacing it looks like it'd be rather straight forward. Bet you could find one on ebay.
Had to chime in, used to build and repair circuit boards a lifetime ago. πŸ™‚

Thanks! I play and repair bass and guitars so replacing them is actually in my wheelhouse! I've never seen one attached to a little circuit board like that but I'm sure I can figure it out.

I tried cleaning the contacts on this one really good even though the dimming looks smooth but it just seems to max out at like 50% idk why. The difference when I unplugged it was like night and day I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

Something has seemed "off" about this whole flower cycle and I think I finally figured it out.

The timer and dimmer will take 600 watts.
Why is it ridiculous? I would be looking on the part for a number and seeing if I could fix it but I build Emulators for DC performance applications and am comfortable with internal electronic repair. This is a cost effective way to dim and time a 120v light.
It's ridiculous because the dimmer I'm working with is built into the driver. You have to feed the driver full power from the wall or you'll ruin it. Your suggestion would actually damage my light.

Coming from you I'm surprised, because you always give others such well thought out suggestions.

Yack I did blow that one.
Perhaps should not give electrical advice while baked.
😩

The closet creature is fattening up fast. The light is frying a few leaves and making some tacos but the buds look great. Best plant out of the three I'm growing without a doubt. She's also very low maintenance now, I water once a day at the beginning of her first light cycle. 3 quarts @ 1.8 EC ~6 pH of flora trio plus armor si, with 25-30% runoff.

Haven't seen the air layering, did I miss it? If so I'll go back and look.

Wow! Do you have enough room in there?

Hey G I have a question about the pollen timing for introduction onto my SFVs

Have i missed the window to get that pollen on them? I flipped April 15th-19th (couldnt pin down the exact date). The sfv’s seem to run a little longer overall if that helps.

Thanks brother!
