Ive got this gorilla zkittles plant which has had a bit of a tough life so far, didnt quite have room for it in the grow so i took it out and its been in the house or garden when the weather was sunny. About 5-6 weeks ago i gave it 24 hrs of darkness to flip it into bud , which it did nicely , got some bud forming then it stopped..i thought it had got too cold . because its a photo i put it in the shed every night for 12 hrs of darkness but the daytimes have been like summer here and it gets a full day of direct sunlight. it seems to have re vegged as there are new small leaves growing out the bud !
to compensate ive been giving it 14 hrs of darkness to try and get it back into bud . couple of questions , do they go back into bud as easy the second time and more importantly does this mess up the formation of the bud ..? will the bud just carry on where it was ?

At least you get to call first!
First of many we will see this year.
Not sure you can halt the process.
If you think the genetics are good let it reveg and take clones.

Good morning, I went back trying to find my old photos of my reveg plants i had from about 7yrs ago and of course i must of deleted them, kept them for years showing what it looked like when they were recovering shit balls i'm sorry for loosing them.

Anyhow.....all from my experience these buds will dry and you can strip them off. If you don't they just rot and it can cause issues with the later formation of the buds. Only way in my view is to give it 12hrs of darkness 12hrs of light to keep it in it's state now. It's alot of work to do it in the outdoor arena, takes a long time to bring it back into veg and then let the fall season put it into flower again.
I worked on 7 plants for months stripping and lollypopping, trimming all the old flower away there was no starting over from seed it was too late in the season my plants were at least 4ft tall if not taller.

When buds did come back the plants of mine looked like real lollypops or tree roses just bushy on top of a trunk. I will never hopefully never go through that again. It's a long ugly process but yes you can get good bud to come back depending on how much time you have left before the days get shorter. This was my experience.

I think this was one of the pics of how i treated them during reveg. Wish i had the other pics of close ups. This was my old place during a summer forest fire and we lacked clear sun light for weeks if not months that year and they all revegged.

Ive just had a closer look , the buds at the bottom of the plant have long white hairs and they get shorter as you move up then its definately pushing out tiny new leaves. ......I think i am going to snip off the top 2 inches of those 2 tallest branches , the bits where the new growth is, see if i can shock it back into line lol. dont some people do this as a way to divert nutrients? at least this was a spare . got 2 auto lemon OGs started which hopefully i can put outside and i wont have any pots to move every 12 hrs .

Looks to me like it had just enough light to start teetering into a late preflower state outside. Once you moved to shed for 12 and later for 14 you committed it to flower. Moving the light schedule around probably caused some stress, but it should still be marching toward the finish line just fine.

yeah , i put it into bud on purpose , by putting it in the dark, (i said i wasnt going to do that again, moving a pot every night is a pain) as soon as it went into bud the weather changed, warmed up and its been blasted with 12 hrs of sunlight every day ,. Ive got an indoor one finishing in 2 weeks so i think i might bring it in under 12 hrs of led and hopefully it will finish.
