Peace!

Updating again... Today I set up the automatic irrigation system and moved the old mother plants out of the tent. I’m going to flower all those giants and replace them with clones that I’ll keep smaller and bushier. Those big ones got out of control lol.

I built one irrigation system for 40 plants in flower and another for 10 mother plants. The veg in the bathroom doesn’t need it, I water much less there, there’s less light and less exhaust, so for now I’ll keep watering by hand.

I used:

30 m of micro tubing (4 mm inner / 7 mm outer)
50x 4 mm T connectors
50x GA-2 adjustable drippers
50x stakes for micro tubing
1x 40 L reservoir
3x 2000 L/h pumps
1x aquarium air pump (2 outlets)
1x quick-connect adapter for micro tubing
1x Y connector with quick-connect valves

I started by installing the T connectors on the main micro tubing. I calculated that the main line needed to be about 3 meters long, so I spaced the T’s about 7 cm apart.

That’s it for today, guys.

Well done Sir 👍🏼
Tks bro. Peace! 🙏
Better be careful with that evidence wg700! It is systemic!😅
Hey bro, how’s it going?

Yep, it can stay in the plant tissues for weeks. :/ I tried to avoid using it, but I had a heavy whitefly infestation before and couldn’t solve it with just biocontrols, and some weeks ago I found some eggs under leaves, so I had to use Evidence to clean things up before flipping and give the plant time for the plant to metabolize and degrade part of the product. Even so, I don’t overdo the dose and only apply it once or twice in more extreme cases.

After that, it’s just biological and mechanical control, with barriers like screens, air intake filters, and sticky traps for flies. Now I’m using “Siltac” — it’s safe and forms a polymeric "net" that basically “glues” flies, mites, etc. It’s pretty effective as long as the infestation isn’t too heavy like mine was...

Right on! I figured you’ve done your homework being a medical user! One of your country men,Gui Santos, plays for the Warriors in the NBA! A young guy learning to hold his own in a tough league! Your plants look good! Keep up the good work!😍✌️

Tks bro! I appreciate it! Yeah, I’ve been studying a lot and trying to dial everything in. And that’s awesome about Gui Santos, always nice to see a Brazilian in the NBA, it’s a tough league for sure. Thanks for the kind words, I’ll keep pushing to improve! ✌️

Updating, everything has grown. I pruned to even things out and have been defoliating. I’ll switch the photoperiod at the turn of the month.

From back to front,
1777001311884

A lot of light, using on 45%, started to burn on 50%. (1920w as 8x240w in 3x1m)

The irrigation system is working. I refill it every 2 days because the reservoir is small, but it already saves me a lot of work.
I bought a plastic fuel pump style nozzle to use for occasional manual watering, but overall everything is automated. On the left are the old mother plants, I’m going to flower them all and replace them with smaller, better trained mothers.
1777001340560

My reservoir holds about 45 liters. I use two 2000 L/h pumps, one recirculates with a venturi to oxygenate, it runs 24/7, and the other is for watering, on a timer, 10 minutes 4 times a day. That green Y lets me choose whether the pump sends water to the automatic irrigation or to a hose for manual watering. It turned out very functional and simple, as well as inexpensive.

That’s it for today, folks, cheers!

Cool thread man, love the set up and all those plants 😍…one of the bigger rooms I’ve seen on here. Looking forward to the nug porn.
Tks bro. In 48h gonna flip it, hoping some big nugs.
Update, 2 days before the flip:
Everything was sprayed for the last time, I used Siltac, I had used Evidence in veg a few days ago, but close to the flip I preferred not to reapply it.
1777403027209

1777403037893

I still need to defoliate the lower part.
1777403047414

On the upper part, I’ve already removed all the large fan leaves, and I’m still taking off as much as possible.
1777403061093

The LED in the mother tent burned out its driver, so I replaced it with another 85W 301H Evo from YXO.
1777403073593

1777403089489

The plants in the bathroom veg area have grown nicely as well, they’re under indirect light, plus a LED similar to the mothers’, 85W, 301H Evo from YXO.
1777403098846

The older mother plants that I’m going to flower are huge, around 1.70 m, and in very small pots, I’m going to transplant all of them into 8-liter pots before flipping, I’ll probably change their position too, they were like this while I was cleaning and organizing the grow box, but they should end up lined up with the other plants...
1777403127327

Video of almost everything, new small mothers replacing the big ones...

That’s all for today, folks, cheers!

1st update after flip: I switched the photoperiod on the April 1st.
1777996103273

Some genetics got stressed at EC 1.5, (750ppm)so I had to bring it down to 1.3 (650ppm) for now

I did a heavy trim on the lower parts of the plants, and defoliated quite a bit too and moved some around to even out the lighting.

1777996151024

Now there’s less bulk and a more even canopy height. I also raised the LEDs a bit since I know they’re going to stretch a lot during these first 15 days of 12/12. Here I had just finished spraying everything preventively with Siltac.
1777996167850

I’m running an inverted photoperiod, lights on at 8pm and off at 8am. I’m still struggling to only work during the lights-on period. I don’t like turning lights on, even green ones, during the dark phase, but today there was no way around it lol

I also added this group of five mother plants that will go into flowering as well. I’m keeping smaller, more trained mothers because the mother and clone grow box is small...
1777996182824

In the bathroom, the veg is doing great. The 85W LED is at around 60% and growth is already very vigorous.
1777996209303

Midnight, and I’m messing with the grow like a zombie. I still need to get used to the plant care schedule.
Feels like jet lag, but from the grow photoperiod lol
1777996232440

That’s it for today, cheers everyone!
