Salutations everybody,

Passing by just to remind it can be most satisfying and still affordable.

For example, this DIY Project i launched on March 18, 2013:

It's the VaporGenie Customized/Modded to perfection. Refer to Google Images for details!

N.B.: Classic-look Aluminium tastes best. ;)

Good day, have fun!! 🆒
Old thread as hell but man those DIY VaporGenie mods were peak stoner engineering lol. Back then people would spend 6 hours modifying a pipe just to save 0.2g and somehow be proud of it. Respect honestly haha.

I'm genuinely hoping you've actually enjoyed this trip down memory lane, considering it cost me a few thousand dollars in VG pipes that got destroyed or given away in pursuing such an iterative methodology. The fact is no credit card will buy alternate thermodynamics, so that's the path one had to walk along - and hence, it's a pleasure to get a visitor at all.

😎

Just like my post elsewhere (on UK420) happened to explain yesterday, there were no other self-humidifying options this compact and portable. IMO you still won't find a ready-made equivalent in any specialized store, so that's one valid motive for me to keep posting: to help some people realize what the nature of the job is, and what's truly necessary to achieve it.

Moreover, my customized VG pipe has never been presented as anything other than a prototype fully tested in "Plan-B" mode, intended to give access to self-awareness relative to the processes involved. Lets face it, more work awaits ahead for those capable and willing to engage in such an ambitious challenge - which is to combine induction heat, self-moisturization and post-extraction shrinkage of micro-droplets to perform « thermal gasification » as in the Sublimator of Enrico Bouchard, more precisely to enhance bio-availability and fix cooker wasting at last. You see, « it works » ain't satisfying enough; the long-term objective is to reach a durable solution suitable to serve as one real substitute to combustion smoke, and this includes a cure to frequent issues caused by popular dry ovenizers: paroxysmal coughing that ruins our fun, no matter how expensive the hype of glamorous pri¢e-tag$...

Salutations,

It's been a long while as i got real busy trying to include the 50 mesh screen in my 3D code, while execution times weren't helping to conduct even some basic tests, because of the extreme waiting delays involved - for example:
LAVACore vs DynaCore Execution time comparaisons 2026 May 31 640x360

My LAVACore model still corresponds to VaporGenie's 14 mm (dia.) MonoBloc cavity. Its rendering has required no less than ~7096 seconds (1h58m16s) in fine "Forge" graphic mode, which is the highest level. By comparison, its 10 mm (dia.) DynaCore counterpart went nearly twice as fast, in ~4722 seconds (1h18m42s) instead.

The difficulty here was that a simple screen can prove too heavy for OpenSCAD when drawing 1 disk equiped with its open ring on top, just as follows:
DynaCore with Open Ring 50 mesh Screen from OpenSCAD 2026 May 30 630x560

Which ain't perfect. Actually we can notice the orthogonal features of such screen, clearly visible through the convection holes and around de disk, below. Yet this happened to be manageable enough by an AI, though i had to be picky about which to be used, but the outcome seemed fair in the end:
DynaCore with Open Ring 50 mesh Screen by Google Gemini 2026 May 31 540x480

That's only a preliminary step toward my complete Hybrid Core. I simply don't have the computing resources to represent true silicon carbide slices characterized by tetrakaidecahedron (Kelvin cells) as in the Duocel SiC foam from ERG Materials & Aerospace Corp., ah and my nomenclature of the variables names must be made more intuitive before it's finally ready for publication - but there's good hope for me to deal with such challenge successfully, as it's mostly a matter of time, patience and some more work. All being intended to visually communicate ideas as efficiently as possible, by planting seeds that can have a life of their own eventually.
