Never seen beans coated with anything really.I honestly bought them sceptically. I don’t usually see seeds with clay on them. All though, I as well figured they’d be packing major heat inside to grow.

Totally. Light as well...Ah.... Pelleted seeds. I had a pack of tomato seeds that were coated like a Tic Tac, I think they were Abe Lincolns. Didn't know folks were doing it with cannabis. I presume it's mainly for stability with transport and storage. I can see a clay coating working as a dessicant and IDK maybe helps regulate the rate at which water penetrates the seed shell.
