It's the natural life cycle of a forum to get a little loose on the rules then reform so everything runs as designed. And moderating to make sure it doesn't get too loose.
For newbs we just need to post the questionairre and picture usefulness guide, they are somewhere on here.

AI being AI this was painful but finally banged and edited into shape, if anyone has additions or fix-em-eps, just change it and post it in my thread in the soil section and we can work on it. Saves everyone's time.

🌱 New Grower Setup Questionnaire​


(Fill this out completely before asking for help — plants can’t talk, so this is how we listen.)



1️⃣ Grow Medium & Root Environment​


Select ONE primary method and answer that section fully.


Soil​


  • Soil brand or type (bagged, homemade, living soil, etc.):
  • Pot size (gallons):
  • Pot type (plastic, fabric, ceramic, etc.):
  • Drainage (extra holes, riser, saucer, runoff collected or not):
  • Amendments mixed into soil (perlite, worm castings, bone meal, etc.):

Coco / Coco Blend​


  • Coco brand:
  • Pre-buffered? (Yes / No / Unsure):
  • Coco blend (pure coco, coco + perlite %, etc.):
  • Pot size:
  • Drainage method:
  • Runoff % target (if any):

DWC / RDWC​


  • System type (DWC, RDWC, hybrid):
  • Reservoir size per plant:
  • Water temp (°F):
  • Air pump brand & number of air stones:
  • Root zone color/condition (white, tan, slime, etc.):

Hydro (non-DWC)​


  • System type (ebb & flow, NFT, drip, aeroponic, etc.):
  • Reservoir size:
  • Grow media used (clay pebbles, rockwool, etc.):
  • Flood/drip cycle timing:
  • Drain-back or waste system:


2️⃣ Feed Schedule & Nutrients​


(This is where most problems actually start — be honest.)


  • Nutrient brand(s):
  • Base nutrients used (A/B, grow/bloom, etc.):
  • Current EC or PPM:
  • pH target and actual pH:
  • Feeding frequency:
  • Plain water intervals (if any):

Additives / Boosters (list all):


  • Cal-Mag (Yes/No, frequency):

  • Microbes / mycorrhizae:

  • Foliar sprays:
  • Anything “optional” you heard about on YouTube:


3️⃣ Lighting​


(Plants worship the sun — fake suns count.)


  • Light type (LED, HPS, CMH, etc.):
  • Brand & model:
  • Actual wattage at the wall:
  • Distance from canopy:
  • Light schedule (18/6, 20/4, 12/12, etc.):
  • Dimming % (if applicable):
  • Supplemental lighting (side lighting, UV, IR, etc.):


4️⃣ Environment: Room or Tent Conditions​


(This is where good grows are won or lost.)


  • Grow space type (tent, room, closet, greenhouse):
  • Dimensions (L × W × H):
  • Intake method (passive, active):
  • Exhaust fan size & CFM:
  • Carbon filter (Yes/No):

Air Movement


  • Number of fans:
  • Fan type (oscillating, fixed, clip, box):

Temperature


  • Lights ON temp (°F):
  • Lights OFF temp (°F):

Humidity


  • Average RH:
  • Humidifier used? (Yes/No):
  • Dehumidifier used? (Yes/No):

CO₂


  • CO₂ supplementation? (None / Bag / Tank / Burner):
  • Target PPM (if applicable):

Other Controls


  • Heater? (Yes/No):
  • AC? (Yes/No):
  • Environmental controller? (Brand/model):


5️⃣ Plant Info​


(Context matters.)

whats up everyone, second grow ever and doing it outdoors this time, i have 8 plants doing amazing right now ...one Gmo photo period, i have 4 zkittles that were supposed to be autos but im afraid they wont start flowering with ny lightcycle yet these are day 60 veg...then i have 2 memphisto autos and a 42 fast bud gorilla cookies auto those 3 are on day 27 and already pre flowering i will upload photos asap thank you

That goes for all the new people. I'll give you straight simple info whenever I can. Send me a message if you don't want to post your question in the public. I'm not judgemental. Its a journey where we all keep learning as we go. There are also some people here who will steer you wrong, so keep that in the back of your mind.

I haven't identified them all and probaly could not anyways. Plus there is the possibility new ones will show up anytime. What is more helpful is to be able to identify them yourself. Use discernment. It's just the way it is, like most everywhere. It's no different here.

Id like to know how fast the 42 fast bud gorilla cookies autos finish outside as the ones I did inside under LED and in 5 gallon fabris took about 15.4 weeks with a 19/5 sched.
