I use the 6" silver star and I love it. I was thinking about switching to an adjust a wing but I have a small space and want to be able to cool the hood. The Silver star works great though!

I run the super sun 2 love that hood, great build quality, nice and light easy for one person to lift and hang and mount ducting.

I have ran 8" cool tubes worst light disspersion ever. Plus I hate messing with 8" insulated ducting very bulky and huge. Went back to the six inch.

I have the cool sun xl 8" its a good hood but not as bright as my super sun 2 and it has no reflective surface on the sides of the hood.

A friend runs the 8" hydrofarm radiant 8's seems to love em.

I feel with proper fan sizing and ducting the 6" does fine. I understand you get twice the area of cooling with a 8" hole. But you are most likely using another fan to cool the room itself.

Nice part about running 8"'s is they are not as loud as the 6's seeing that you dont have to run them on full blast. But that really all depends on how many lights you are going to do. If your doing more then 3-4 1000w then id say go with the 8".

You dont need the XXXL to be cooltubed. The hood is shallow they are VERY efficient at staying cool.

Mine stays cool to the touch.
