Thanks Shady! Good to see ya around. How are your grows going?

This has been my best run and the hardest part was keeping branches tied up and dumping runoff water :) I was really surprised with the weight from my hazy jones girl. She came in at 1.77 lbs which puts me at around 8.3 for the whole room! Much better than I was expecting. I think flip flopping lights (2k on, 2k off) during the last 2 weeks didn't hurt the yield at all. I might try flip flopping during the entire run to see what kind of yields I can get with 2k lol

I'll get some pics of the 3 plant chow mix run here soon. I also added another small girl in coco to fill up some space. I decided to use 1k with a cool tube...bare bulb sucked too much humidity out and kept the room a little too warm. Vegging with vert lights is the shit! Branching is so much better this way :)

Thanks for following along everyone!

Easy,
congrats on the recent harvest! Looking forward to some possible nug shots. Dawgs perhaps? Also would love to see your 3 plant 1 bulb room, and your veg progress. I have some friends that I thought that type of setup would work great for. Thanks,

-TF

Hey TF, i'll go snap some dry bud pics right now and post them up later :) I'll get some shots of the room later today right before lights on.

I really like the single light setup. Simple and easy to maintain. I'll explain the whole setup later when I post up pics. Most of it is in the thread but it's spaced out all over the place lol! This might be a good setup for those that are just getting into growing that have to maintain low plant numbers and still want decent yield with low risk of failure.

I bailed on the mpb run in the main room and going with chow mix again. Too scared to have a bad round lol. I have 5 white fire girls that don't have a place to flower now so I might use 4 of them in my old veg room. It's the same size as my test room...about 7.5x8x8. This way I can still play around with rdwc but it won't be a big deal if it's a complete loss. One 600 (maybe two on a flip) with 4 mpb girls...should be a fun run but I need to get busy with the plumbing!

Best of luck with your mpb run, bro. It's gonna be one hell of a learning experience for ya...it sure was for me! I need to get more comfortable with hydro before I commit the big room to it again.

Thanks Shady! Good to see ya around. How are your grows going?
Thx easypleasie! I'm doing great and in the middle of Round 8 which is my 3rd round in coco and chunky perlite #4 DTW... seems to be similar to a chow mix experience w/o hydroton. I also started Round 9 in soil plus coco and chunky perlite. Round 10 will start soon in my Under Current. As for the coco/chunky perlite DTW, the setup has been my most carefree of all the mediums I've worked with so far... Less nutes, water, and maintenance for sure. I will say that I still have anxiety every time I mess with a new medium and the Under Current will be no different. Hope you have a chance to stop by my Round 4 perpetual journal sometime and check out my progress in Rounds 8 and 9. In any case I commend you on the amazing harvest this round and look forward to more amazing bud shots and rounds from you... :cool

Chow is great for a commercial grow. You need to get up and get back on that horse. Maybe make a 2 unit rcdwc and play with it. I usually get a qp more per plant then with chow. The extra could help you build a real nice room. Hope you really enjoy the bounty of your successful grow. JK

I hear ya Shady about the anxiety lol. I was ready to go forward and do the mpb thing again in the big room but chickened out lol.

JK, i'm gonna play around with rdwc again but on a small scale till I get more comfortable with how everything works. I got excited about the "big yields" and dove in head first without knowing very much about how rdwc works and hydro in general...totally wasn't prepared for hiccups. I'll figure it out eventually as I make more mistakes.

Here are some nug shots of 3 different phenos of 13 dawgs...#3 is a boot to the head lol

Here's some info on the test room. I have two 13 dawgs #3, one 13 dawgs #1 and one white fire. 3 girls are in chow mix and one small girl in a 5 gallon bucket of straight coco.

Very basic setup. 50/50 chow mix drain to waste, 1k hps, cool tube with 8" exhaust fan pulling through a carbon filter. Single floor fan for circulation and no co2. I vegged with a 600 mh overhead lighting till they got about 3 ft tall and then switched to vertical bare bulb, 600 mh. This made a huge difference with the side branches. Vegged about 10 days with the vertical and then flipped. I used the 600 for the first 10 days of flower and then switched to the 1k hps. About 2 weeks in now.

I couldn't get to the room in time to take pics before lights came on so I only have lights on pics this time.

Nice nug shots easypleasie! And that's pretty cool that you've got a test room as well... The girls in there look great! It will be interesting to see how the chow mix compares to the straight coco... :cool

Did you find the 13 dawg that much better then the whitefire or did that ratio just end up that way. The dawg looks like good hash material. JK

JK - Personally the 13 dawgs yields are great. Bag appeal is a little better than g13, but its no OG or bubba as far as that goes. It seems to me that a nice long cure works best with the dogs. If it were me the white fire would be my personals and the 13 dawgs for "donation"

GREAT HASH! I made about 2 oz of hash with my last run and its all full melt top notch!

No special reason for the ratio...just what I had left after I got rid of some girls I didn't want to run again. Both are excellent smoke. I'm gonna run each pheno again just to make sure which one to keep. My #3 is def a keeper though it's not the best yielder. I haven't tried the hash made from the trim yet but i'm expecting it to be really potent.

Forgot to mention, the white fire is much, much better this time letting it go 10 weeks vs. 9 weeks. I love the social, chill high and I can still carry on a conversation...I speak gibberish with 13 dawgs #3 lol.

U can speak afterwords with the dogs? I usually just sit there about 5 minutes and drool all over myself... lol

lol it's not really talking...more like random words with no line of thought. I love to watch the reactions of friends when they first smoke it! Hits me hard after a few tokes...i'm scared to smoke more after that! Pleasantly surprised that the dawgs came out so dank :) I'm satisfied :rauch08: Thanks again, Gritty!

word bro 70 day white fire is frigging off the hook

those dawgs look great!!! #3 sounds great. i love strains that fuck with your head.
lets so some pics of that white fire!!!

Easy,
The test room's kickin ass!

Now if you only had another cool tube. Then you could stack that 600MH....

-TF:evilgrin0013:

I had an extra cool tube a while back but I shattered it when I knocked it over...doh! I could really use it right now. Test room #2 may be going up soon :)

Double stacking the 600 mh would be sick! I'd let the plants grow super tall to take advantage of the extra light :) The mh will surely make things a little frostier...and leafier lol.
