With the way Hydrohut was treating everyone that had A problem they should have thought about that before they come and try to take our money again since they know we are 99% of their market and they shit all over us . The Homebox and the Secret Jardin seem much better and I have both so I'm not just sayin it to say it . What happens if they have the same problem , Are we left on our own again ? Maybe if they want our business they should send some out for testers so we can let our community make sure they have fixed the problem before they crap on us again .

You are something else! The way HydroHut treated everyone? They gave the whole USA its money back homes!!!! Yeah, they stood behind the damn product that was fucked up by the Chinese and they ate it!

HydroHut is a small company and they did the RIGHT thing! Sunhut and Habitat, both copies of the Hydrohut, made by the two largest companies in the business, Sunlight Supply and Hydrofarm didn't do a fucking thing except pretend they never had a problem!

Hydrofarm is still trying to sell its tainted ass habitats all over the states. Sunlight supply kept its mouth shut and now brought its old tent back out with the same interior as the Darkroom, but left the same tainted white floor on the inside! They didn't even bother trying to understand the problem!

If hydrohut didn't come out and be honest, none of the other companies would have done a thing.

You are WAY off track Zoolander. Nothing personal, just wrong.

imo, secret jardin will be the next big company. nothing out there has that type of lining in it. one of kind product!

Koopa, both the new Sunhut and one the new HydroHut lines (from what I hear) will use the same material/lining as the Dark Room inside. The other HydroHut line coming out is supposed to be truly infrared absorbent and reflective. This means it has to have a thick skin, unlike the dark room.

And, for what its worth, when I called hydrohut, they said that all they have been doing is testing and testing and testing. They seem to care for real.

Remember, they had a perfectly good product on the market for 2 years before the chinese changed something. Many of us still have Huts that work fine! It isn't like they threw some product onto the market with no testing in the first place. The mfr in china changed something on them and never admitted it.

You may want to research that A bit more and you will find that HH did not stand behind this and just give everyone their money back . When this all began they said they had no problem and it went on from their , Regardless of where they were made HH was still responsable for the product and it took alot of upset people before they even wanted to say they had A problem and then wanted everyone to clean the damn things while they were releaseing the gases that were causeing them problem . Look around a little more and you may find the truth . Lets also not forget how many people lost elite cuts and high priced seed stock over this. Next you might tell us how HH replaced those also . I forgot to say though that they did replace the poles with no problem at first but then stopped because they said maybe that was not the problem . Maybe you know something I missed so no problem but I had friends that had the HH problem and got nothing and lost alot of cuts and seed runs

It is true that it took a while to figure out the exact problem. Just having symptoms from clients isn't enough to pin point a problem. Remember, some people don't know how to grow too well and were blaming everything under the sun on the tents. Lots of people said their plants weren't doing great but that they had crops. Well, if you had a crop, you didn't have the plastic problem. The plastic off gassing would have wiped out your crop as evidenced by a ton of people on these and other forums.

I believe that Hydrohut made a mistake by trying to be so quick in doing the right thing that they thought the poles were a problem and said so. After further testing, it wasn't the poles at all. This shows their haste in attempting to set the problem straight.

They then found a fix. They kept the exact fix quiet so as not to help Habitat or Sunhut steel more market as both tents were total rip offs of the Hut, not the Homebox. The fix was said to be not so great on the forums but I have a fixed hut that does still work and so do two of my friends. Again, once Hydrohut determined that the fix wasn't working 100% of the time, they stopped the fixing and started only to give money back. ( I talked to someone by the name of Joseph about this) They were giving money back the whole time too. Please remember that many people don't write in on these forums. We are but a referece group of the bigger picture-- a good reference group though.

As for what goes into the tents, that isn't Hydrohut's or Homeboxe's or Dark Room's fault or responsibility. You take that risk all by your lonesome and you are solely responsible for the plants. Why would a company ever give back money to some dude who claims that he lost X amount of money on weed? It ain''t gonna happen in this lifetime.

In the aftermath, the tainted Huts are pretty much off the market except for the assholes attempting to resell them on eBay. Habitats are being sold everywhere. The Sunhut, after being changed is still a joke and the community as a whole is a lot smarter!

Damn, had a long response typed to this. Oh well, here goes again.

Long story short, a friend bought two HH deluxes. He tried for over a yr to change all possible variables including: soilless, dwc, E&F, GH, lucas, Floranova, pure blend pro, ro water, not ro water, well water, closed vent system, recirc vent system, etc. Long story short, the best yield was 7oz from 2k, and that was the first run :(.

It cost my friend a lot of time and money. I wish I'd known you could get your $$ back originally, as "fixing" just sounded stupid to me after all the trouble it caused.

My same friend started up a while ago w/o the huts and I am pleased to tell you their first run of 4800w, they got 5#.

I'd avoid the huts until they are proven.

Be safe

HydroHut Silver Edition

The new line of HydroHuts called the Silver Edition is out as of this week. They are heavier than both the Sunhut and the Darkroom and the homebox. The outer canvas is very thick unlike the Darkroom, uses the same or similar silver interior and has more vent socks than any tent on the market currently. The frame is all steel including the corners so no breakage as with both the DR and Homebox. They look pretty sweet!

Took them long enough to copy a Darkroom..the frame is all steel on all (DR, Sunhut, and Habitat) of the ones you mention and I have never heard or seen a single one break ever and have sold and installed all of them many many many times. So that is not even a selling point, man they are reachin..

Evan is a nice guy, but business is business and when you sell a defective product and then replace it with the same friggin defective product, which by the way kills the plants it it supposed to be designed to make thrive. So what almost 2 years later we get some kind of solution?.....good luck with that.

I guess I still have a sour taste after watchin tens of thousands of dollars worth of plants die and being told that the problem was that I couldn't grow and then getting a replacement that had the exact same issues as the first....I am no fan...he would have been better off renaming the company and then releasing the new product line...might have a chance

I sure wouldn't pay for one until I grew a susessfull crop in it or at least one that wasn't effected by the tent itself..6 Month payment terms to try it out first is what i will need thank you..

We use Hydro Huts and Habitats with NO PROBLEMS what so ever. They may have made a bad batch or something but we've been using the Hydro Hut for a good 1.5 years now.
