Mobius Glassworks, you'l thank me later.

I heard all kinds of great things about Mobius so I had to get one. Got super lucky one day and snagged one on ALT. The 65mm stereo matrix stemless.

The glass quality is very poor compared to SG for one. There are small inclusions of some carbonlike particles in the tube itself which you would never see in an SG tube. At the 90 degree where the stem turns in you can see what looks like a hairline crack where the pieces were joined. The mouthpiece is too small and sharp around the edge, almost hurts your lips. Why does it almost hurt your lips? Because there is 4 times more drag with this piece than an SG stemline.

I've got an SG bent neck mini king stemline and I like it alot. Very smooth and works well with an ashcatcher. It is almost dragless without an ashcatcher. I've been enjoying using it lately with my newly aquired Healthstone Glass slide. If you haven't tried these for your errl you should give em a try. Taste sensations!!

Anyone want to buy a Mobius stereo matrix? Lol.

on the health stone do you just use a torch and hit like a pipe or do you heat the stone first?

Based on the videos Ive seen you just torch while you hit. I have a zob and an SG, hated the Zob until I had it modified at the glass shop to increase airflow. It draws harder then the SG for sure, but it hits smoother. . .meaning I can take bigger hits.

I have heard you can pre heat the stone a little, then put your concentrate on in and torch it. I always forget to preheat it though. Someone on another site said that way works better. He also said dont actually let the tip of the flame touch the stone, but to keep it slightly farther away. I just put a little chunk of wax or oil on there and torch it slowly from a slight distance. If you use Vector butane you shouldn't taste any butane at all.

The only downside compared to a curve or nail and dome is that you use a little more product to get a good hit. Besides that, it is less hassle than heating titanium and tastes a little better IMO.

I also discovered that that the torch you use makes a big difference. (DUH!) I've been happy with the ronson plumbing torch, but when I saw some the high powered dealios heat a ti nail in 5 seconds, I was sold.

I got to rip a healthstone for the first time @ the cup this year, I dug it, seems like the way to go if you wanna be portable. but yeah, when you're seshing, passin it around, it stays a lil warm and I was globing it on there not noticing it was soaking into the stone. Everybody was getting lung buster rips, dude almost dropped his brand new hitman

I also hit the mobius di stemless bub, and I liked the way it hit. The water levels are wierd and I've heard the water can come back up and splash the bottom of the nail(I didn't notice this when I hit it, but I was LIT) and people think the hot nail(especially if ti) being splashed by the cool water might cause the joint to crack. But thats the only bad thing I've heard anybody say about mobius. Most people love their tubes

Some guy did a good side x side only it's a down grid stem line but if you search YouTube for "knickertoker stemline matrix" you'll find it. Down stemline vs stereo matrix vs inv 4, good stuff...

I've been told that Vector makes a 3 tip flame torch that is perfect for the Healthstone. Saw one on ebey for $90. Haven't pulled the trigger yet. As far as heating my TI nail, I use one of those propane torches from Home Depot used for soldering. That thing heats up the nail in 12 seconds, and costs $3 for a HUGE refil tank. Lasts like a year.

Ya Dz1Pnk my SG is an upstem. Attached is a pic of my collection. My SG hollow foot Peyote Pillar arrives tomorrow. Can't wait!
