Let's see your 2021 Outdoor Plants!

Update on my outdoor. Overall, I've never grown such happy plants - any kind of plants. One might be just a bit too happy and it's already 5' tall and no sign of flower yet (it's half Harlequin, which is a late bloomer). My hoop house is only 5' tall at the center so I'm looking for ideas as...

My first DWC - Critical Bilbo

Hello everyone! I've posted about my outdoor grows, but I decided to give indoor a try. This is Critical Bilbo @ ~ 2.5 weeks in a DWC setup. I'm using GH Flora series nutes, feeding on the light side (about 500 ppm right now). I'm in a 2x2.5 tent with a 130W BudgetLED light. Here's my...

Let's see your 2021 Outdoor Plants!

you can Depending upon your latitude/longitude, you likely won't see signs of flowers on a photoperiod plant for another couple weeks. I have a couple males in pots next to my raised bed and they show zero signs of flowers yet, and males show first (I know they're male based on sex tests).

Let's see your 2021 Outdoor Plants!

You're doing great! Re: BT, first sign of flowers is when the moths will magically find your plants and start messing with you. So, mid-July is a good time to start. BT is safe to use up until the last 2 weeks of flower. In the meantime, treat it like a tomato plant. Plenty of time to go...

Top dress with some worm castings every other week or so and water it in well. Yard looks great overall. Happy plants.

Let's see your 2021 Outdoor Plants!

Update from this morning. Right left: "Jazz Cabbage" has been topped twice and the stem rubs are earthy. Middle is the Syrian hashplant. Topped once, likely topping again tomorrow. Stem rub is much sweeter - can't wait to see how this one turns out. Finally, the Orange Bud was really slow...

There is worse stuff you can spray than Safer. I'm going to take every precaution while going as natural as possible. To be on the safe side, I've got some Zymes coming.

Newbie needs help... pistils or balls?

+1 Aquaman. Males show preflowers before Females by at least 2 weeks, so you'll have plenty of advanced notice. Hard to miss. Also, "trying to do it perfect", find me a "perfect" grower and I'll show you a liar. 🤣

Let's see your 2021 Outdoor Plants!

Taking a page outta @Dirtbag 's book, starting an outdoor thread for 2021! Here in NorCal, we've had some pretty weird early/mid spring weather. Cold and dry. This is my 2nd season growing outdoor, and I learned a lot last year. Last fall, I cover cropped my 4x10 bed with crimson clover in...

Smoke/ash from fires close to harvest

Thanks! Really appreciate the help from everyone. Means a lot. Will be going through the bud wash paces a couple more times this season as the rest of my plants finish, starting this weekend with a super frosty s/s widow CBD plant!

Smoke/ash from fires close to harvest

Thanks! Bought a moisture meter for taking readings throughout the week. Garage smells great, even with the carbon filter. LOL

Smoke/ash from fires close to harvest

Took down my Blueberry Muffins plant today. Did the bud wash per the video linked earlier in this thread. Lotta gunk came off for sure. Just put everything in the drying tent after spending much of the day on the laundry rack next to a fan. Smells great.

Smoke/ash from fires close to harvest

Carbon filter is necessary if you ask my wife LOL. I personally don't care about odor. Anyway, the fan I have is 160cfm, variable speed. I have a hygrometer in the tent and it currently reads 68% here in Northern CA.

Smoke/ash from fires close to harvest

Lots of great info on this thread, glad I started it and really happy folks are chiming in. Re: hanging dry, are you doing this in your drying space or BEFORE you take them to your drying space? I'm going to be drying in a 2x2.5 tent w/ oscillating fans on the floor, paired with a fan sucking...
