I'm so new at this, but not to gardening vegetables..so I'm trying to use some of my gardening sense and knowledge.but the more I read about cannabis plants the more confused I get! I just took a random seed someone gave me and started to grow it in miracle grow soil for vegetable and gardens with upto 6 months feeding. This is week 5 going on wk 6 from germination day 1. I also just put germinated seed number 2 into soil today. Plant #1 So far looks great, but that doesn't mean anything from my experience as an amateur garden grower. I have no idea what to do next!!! Any and all advice would be Highly appreciated. I guess right now My main two questions would be do I use BT and when to start..also do I need to fertilize with this kind of soil and again when to start and what to use..thanx so much!
Your plant looks really good.

Personally I stay away from soils with "time release" pre added time release fertilizers in soil. A couple reasons for that worth mentioning. They don't offer an accurate way to know whats in there as plants progress. It could lead to other trouble, while trying to avoid deficiencies.

You can't flush it out of the soil when approaching a harvest. You cant pull back on fertilizers trapped in the soil that effect flavor and smoothness in the end cured product. It can make the smoke you spent time and attention on, harsh.

Or, things like Nitrogen cause unwanted vertical growth after vegging phase, known as bud stretch. To name a couple detrimental reasons. It becomes less of a needed element a couple weeks after initial flowering begins. Mj stretches up to catch pollen in mother nature. To grab it before the competition does. Those growth spurts stop when the plant focusses more on flower production.

Of course you don't have to do what I do. I can only recommend changing soil to something else when it comes time to transplant. I use something mild then rely on bottle feeding and applying amendments by top dressing. It allows me to better control what the garden is getting. I have a better idea of what its getting. It also allows me better control as harvest time gets nearer.

Or incase something goes wrong and it becomes necessary to flush the soil.

Obviously miracle grow has a bunch of loyal users and followers. I'm just not one of them.

All of us don't have time to baby sit plants. Time release soils are helpful for some circumstances. They are simple and require less attention. Its almost like growing plants on auto pilot.

Depending upon your latitude/longitude, you likely won't see signs of flowers on a photoperiod plant for another couple weeks. I have a couple males in pots next to my raised bed and they show zero signs of flowers yet, and males show first (I know they're male based on sex tests).

Can’t tell the sex yet, but if I had to go on a limb and say what I think it is, I’m gonna go with a female, I’ve also been wrong before

What's the best way to upload photos? I texted them to myself so it turned them into jpegs but the quality doesn't look that great

Holy....! That's not a baby..that's a tree! And I'm gonna have to mentor you! How the heck do I get my plant to look like that tree!!!!?????! Like you should have a step by step book from seed to tree!
Haha alot of love and care and the right food and you would be surprised what you can grow ,or what you can do with a plant I'm by no means an expert but I have been doing it for years practice makes perfect at least that's what they say hahaha 😉

Thats the second time I seen a person utilize 50 gal drums 👌. And you wont have to worry about them blowing away.

This image depicts spacing here a little better. while enjoying summer sun at its best. passing 30/c or 86f days depending where your from. plants are taking off, under going nice transformation. they reached or surpassed 2.5 feet in hight. an easy half of a foot or 8" in just the past couple days.

If one or two went into a July bloom I wouldnt mind it. thats only happend to me one time ever. with a perfectly healthy AK-47 plant. it was an oddball on timing but as it should be every other way. It was some nice smoke partially for having optimum consistent real summer sunshine all the way through flower. sweet.

"Lazy days of summer". I havn't installed my irrigation system or installed new fencing mesh I have in mind, oh and the tie down loops....lol yet
