I think these are deficient in something.

You're right. They're powerful. So, it's important to match the light to the tent. It's also important to be able to adjust the light (usually with a dimmer knob or by adjusting the height). I have 240 LED lights in my tents, but I rarely run them higher than 50%. They're at 40% as I write...

Please help! Having a weird problem

Contact with the soil was my first guess. My second guess is dry soil in the space where the roots contact the new soil. It may be helpful to water in a ring around the plant, so the roots don't contact dry soil. Only do that till the plant recovers, though. We want the roots to seek water.

    Aerogarden Northern Lights Hydroponic

IIRC, I've seen it suggested to soak the roots in a mild hydrogen peroxide solution. In addition to helping the root rot, it also provides oxygen. I'm not sure who recommended it, but it probably was @GNick55. My apologies to Nick if I'm wrong.

Grow#3 - Black Jack by BigBlonde

My thinking is the initial soil was the problem. It probably didn't promote root growth. This Black Jack grow and the one after it, Amnesia Haze, were terribly slow until I was able to coax better rooting. I used different starter soils, but I believe both were lousy. The Amnesia Haze was...

First time flowering and was wondering if this is a sign of a hermaphrodite?

I don't think that's a hermaphrodite. They have pollen sacks. Here's a picture for an example:

It is watering day for the smaller plant. So, while all of you were writing helpful posts, I was tying down the stems. I didn't see your posts till after I finished. Here are some pictures so you can see what I did. I think I mostly did what you recommended. I used cotton string with a Bowline...

We're good. I appreciate your interest. I don't see any problems with it--yet. I don't run my lights at high intensity. I'm sure if I were to boost up the light, there could be some burn. For the most part, though, the plants seem happy as they are.

There wasn't much to say about it for a while. I'm guessing these will take about eight weeks. So, I'm hoping to harvest them in late July. Yep! They're from the same batch of seeds left over from last summer's grow. I sprouted three, but one didn't make it. The tall one is 48 inches from the...

i need to cut the the big leafs?

I would cut off the bottom fan leaves if they are touching the soil. Are the plants in their final pots?

IDK... I've been thinking about super cropping them. They seem to have stopped stretching, though, and are tolerating the light okay. So, maybe I don't need to do anything with them. I've never super cropped, so I'm wary of trying it for the first time if I don't need to do it. Then again, the...

New to growing, growing for medicinal purposes

I'm a medicinal grower, too, and I agree about the healthy aspect of the growing. I love it!

17 days since the flip. They're done stretching and flowering has begun. I expect to harvest in mid to late July.

    Been a Good First Year

I've been growing for about a year, too. My first crop was also infested with spider mites. So far, I've only harvested one crop and it was a good one--Acapulco Gold. I now have two tents going with two plants in each. The plants in one them are flowering and I expect to harvest mid to late July.

What’s causing the leafs to do this, heat stress?

That doesn't look like heat stress. It could be a disease called "beet curly top virus."

Hi guys im new on this forum problem with plant.

The leaf-edge necrosis resembles a potassium deficiency.

What are these yellow/spotted leaves? They're under lots of shade. Is this a nutrient deficiency?

Was that bottom picture taken at night?

New to growing, growing for medicinal purposes

No. Lady bugs are predatory, but people who have tried them haven't reported complete success. There are real mites that prey on spider mites. Just search Amazon for predator mites. There are several varieties. Here's an example:

I have built some crazy leds

I wonder if smart bulbs could be used. If so, the light could be controlled programmatically. Then, perhaps, the discussion could turn to dawn, dusk and season emulation.

Old noob in MN getting started

Without seeing your plan, we can't comment about any of it, including whether it's too long. So, I agree. Let's see it. I'm not sure that's possible, but what I do know is that it's hard to plan without the experience that comes from growing. Even people who have grown for decades say they...
