    Bulb Mites?? WTF!?

I don’t get on here often so I apologize for the delay. Hopefully you’ve found out what was ailing your gals. The webbing you mentioned sounds like root aphids may be a culprit. I don’t have any good pics of what a bulb mite looks like but you really need magnification to see them. 2 brown...

    Freezer tincture

Yes. When it stops bubbling it’s done. I don’t personally like to let it go all the way because it has quite a sedative effect on me. I’m told it’s because CBN has become more dominant. Regardless, I tend to take it off the heat after it’s been at 235-240f for about 5 minutes. There will...

    Freezer tincture

Regardless of whether you choose a hot or cold method, why not evaporate all the alcohol and decarb the oil visually? Then just add a bit of alcohol back. It might eliminate any discrepancies that your decarb could be causing.

    Advice on soil mix

If things do start to acidify what are my options?

    Advice on soil mix

I ended up top dressing with about 2 tbsp of bio live and on top of that I put Malibu compost and worm castings. About 4/1 and around an inch depth. I’ll be adding gypsum and oyster shell tmrw and plan to flip to flower this weekend. I feel good about things but I’m really out of my comfort...

    Advice on soil mix

I actually have a bottle. I have a test grow currently using their products exclusively. Although I feel its a good product I’m hoping to prevent and limit the amount of things needed for this grow. Not a water only scenario but minimal effort. (It’s for a friend) My usual products used at a...

    Advice on soil mix

Hmmm. Maybe I could get away with just topdressing an inch or more of castings or vermicompost ?? I like to put a few handfuls on after a couple weeks of flower anyways. Not sure it does much but it sure doesn’t hurt

    Advice on soil mix

I’m not organic btw. My usual bottled nutes are mainly age old bloom, liquid karma, cal/mag, and some humid acid. I use them on the very light side. And rainwater is my source.

    Advice on soil mix

I’m concerned that my ph will get too low and at a critical point during the cycle. I’ve always used hydrated lime in it peat mixes. Is my concern warranted?

    Advice on soil mix

I’m having to veer from a tried and true method and hoping to get some reassurance. It may be a long shot but I’m open to any opinions. I recently planted in 5gal basic poly pots with a peat based mix that came with a light precharge from worm castings (black/gold). I added an additional 2gal...

    LED for veg only

I'm digging the light rail idea! Haven't used one of those in a minute. Thank you!

    LED for veg only

I feel like ranting after researching lighting but I'll refrain. I'm sure the fluence are great lights but it's still tough to justify the cost. My go to for years has been 32w T8 strip lights from lowes and a case of quality horti bulbs from wherever. $20 for a 4ft 2 bulb fixture and 2 of...

    LED for veg only

I'm liking the idea of the T5 bar lights. I'll look into those more closely. I also see a lot of complaints about diodes failing prematurely and would like to invest in quality but not fluence or gavita type of quality! Geez!

    LED for veg only

I'm looking at LEDs for a largish veg room but have NO experience with them. They will mostly be used to veg rooted clones for 2-3 wks. So many options and opinions out there but I'm not finding info for my exact scenario. I need to cover roughly 3 5x10 footprints. I don't want anymore HID...

How To Organically Clean A Room After Powdery Mildew Outbreak?

    Powdery Mildew

Call me lucky I guess but I’ve been growing for over 2 decades indoor/outdoor and recently greenhouse. Only within the last 6 months have I personally witnessed PM. I didn’t think much of it but now wishing I would’ve addressed it because it’s spreading quickly. This is an indoor flower room...

GS plant food / liquid kelp

I don’t care how bad something smells, I just think it should be consistent and I think kelp should smell like...kelp. I have a bottle that’s over a year old from the same manufacturer and it still slightly smells of the sea. If I were a hydro guy I certainly wouldn’t use it

GS plant food / liquid kelp

I’ve used this brand for a couple years but the last gallon smells very rotten, sulfur like. I emailed the company and they said it would be fine to use and that the sulfur smell varies depending upon the water source that they use. Weird. Nonetheless I am hesitant to use it. The other...
