    Completely new and in trouble

I think he meant the two hooks in the center, and didn’t realize the pistils/calyx are actually left of center

Those are not. BUT the two white hairs coming out of the calyx on the left are. That’s a female.

    Middle leaves yellowing

It was pretty bad, they finally cleared up about a week ago. Had root rot before that, hence the switch to fabric pots and a true wet/dry watering cycle. Hydroguard too. There were definitely some twisted/stunted branches from the root rot, which i cut off, but this yellowing issue is fairly new.

    Middle leaves yellowing

Soil is topsoil w/rice hulls, the half-inch layer of sand on top was to get rid of fungus gnats. I use general organics “grow” in distilled water, plus hydro guard, pH’d to 6.5. Also added zinc a couple weeks ago but no change.

    Middle leaves yellowing

These girls have been through a lot. Latest issue is the middle leaves are yellowing and dying off, slowly spreading to the upper leaves. I’ve made sure ph is 6.5. Not sure what to try next.

    Help!? Stunted growth!!!

Are the stems getting all thick/weird looking?

Someone help me please!?!? Weird abnormal growth twisted

Thick/knobby/twisted stems sounds like root rot. Smell your drain holes to confirm. If so—to fix it, let the soil dry completely between waterings, and also add some hydroguard to your water. Cleared mine right up, along with switching to fabric pots.

Need advice on different leaf symptoms

Makes sense. In my case, i use only topsoil/rice hulls, with organic juice added to to water...easy to adjust.

Need advice on different leaf symptoms

With those burnt tips, soil might be too hot (too much nutes)....causing nute lockout/P deficiency (the spots)...happened to me recently, a couple good distilled water flushes righted the ship.

    Damndest thing

Damn that sucks! In my case there could definitely have been some very minor light pollution getting into the tent through the intake/exhaust vents. I remedied that by adding a little coiled flex duct at each end, but i think i’ll also add a green cellophane “shade” over the basement light...

    Viparspectra spectra 900w reflector series?

I use a viparspecta 450 in a 2x4 tent and couldn’t be happier. Fat colas even near the walls.

    Damndest thing

So i’m 3 weeks into flowering this batch of clones, and today i noticed that directly below each bud site there’s a pair of fat, pollinated calyxes. On a lot of them the seeds are already big enough to split the calyx open. Can’t find any male flowers anywhere, closed or open. I’ve had some...

The Great Fungus Gnat Battle: VICTORY!

It ends up being the top 2”, counting the inch of sand on top. Appreciate the help!

The Great Fungus Gnat Battle: VICTORY!

That’s an excellent idea, keeping a dry pot around for comparison. Before, I was watering every other day no matter what. Now i end up doing it around every four days, when the sand and top inch of dirt are totally dry. Thanks!
