    Germinating seed in starter plug

Appreciate the tips. 5 out of 6 are fine. For some reason the White Widow seed cracked but the root won’t keep pushing. It sorta stopped. Anyhow 83% not so bad.

    Germinating seed in starter plug

I cut them out. All but one was really stuck. They sprung open and popped up as soon as I freed them from the milled plugs. Never again. Horrible germination method. Had I not been on top of it I might have lost 5 out of 6 seeds. They’re all planted directly in medium now. Fingers crossed they...

Yes. Lots of light. Humidity and warmth.

    Germinating seed in starter plug

I might still cut off the starter plug. I think it’s too much resistance to get out of that hole.

    Germinating seed in starter plug

I think I just need to be patient. Day 4 and I started to see them curl up and go vertical. Just taking a little time. Just was scared to ruin my only seeds.

    Germinating seed in starter plug

In the past I’ve used wet paper towels and as soon as it cracked and the tip of the root showed I’d transfer directly to my growing medium. First time germinating dropping seed into the little hole of a moist rooting starter plug. 3 days ago. They’re at about 78F and in a humidity dome. I...

Alternatives to treating high PH hard well water

All the problems here are overwhelming. I have pretty severe mental health problems...and every time I want to fix one thing I think of 100 more and then think about the fact that I don’t have the skills to do 97 of them and I just shut down... my walls are rotting down...pretty sure I heard...

Alternatives to treating high PH hard well water

Wouldn’t a sand filter sort out the dissolved solids though? I mentioned rain collection...but again...it’s winter and what is coming down will soon freeze as January and February are the coldest months... My problem is two fold...PH and dissolved solids. I think I’m going to try running my...

Alternatives to treating high PH hard well water

I literally don’t have a faucet that works...except this one...nothing is gonna fit here...it’s not a matter of just screwing it on...I don’t even have a functioning kitchen sink. I need a “bush” solution.

Alternatives to treating high PH hard well water

I’m literally going up to my first floor bathroom with 5-gallon buckets, filling them by hand with a 1/2 gallon milk jug in the sink, and then I’m carrying them down my basement stairs every time I need water. I don’t even have a damn hose to fill the buckets up directly... 😒 I’d just like a...

Alternatives to treating high PH hard well water

I have 3 places to get water in my house... 1) a trigger spray squirter at my kitchen sink (the actual faucet doesn’t work...and the sprayer is about broke too) 2) my tiny bathroom sink faucet that also has a super slow drain (faucet filter won’t fit the hardware) 3) My shower head (I don’t...

Alternatives to treating high PH hard well water

I’ve not had my personal well wasted analyzes but I do know this...it comes out of the ground at around PH 8.1-8.2. It’s also at a PPM of about 300-335. Not sure what the dissolved solids are... My soil grow plants keep locking up. The more water I run through them (as in the older the plant)...

Really high soil runoff PH around 8.0-8.1

I did quite a bit of reading today and from everything I have read nutrient buildup always causes a low PH or acidification. I've not read hardly any cases where it causes it to go basic. I suspect IT may be due to the fact that my source water is already so alkaline. Maybe my citric acid...

Really high soil runoff PH around 8.0-8.1

The filler dirt is some stuff we grew tomatoes in outside this summer. It had a lot of sand in it. It was some raised bed compost mix they sell at one of those bulk mulch/raised_bed places. I didn't have anything else and was short on FF dirt so I cut it. These are in flower so it's really...

Really high soil runoff PH around 8.0-8.1

As I said the source well water is about 300PPM. Not sure what my feeding PPM's should be but I've measured them and they've varied between 900-1200. Not sure why it would be way too high. Following recommended amounts and often quite less. An example would be 1 teaspoon of grow big, 2...

New grower: is this a hermie plant (sigh) 😭

This must be why every other time I have gotten a very small amount of self pollinated seeds they always turn out female. I think that’s the case here too.

I had no other options. In fact zero.
