Bud Washing - Stuck in CoVid19 Lock Down with NO Lemon Juice!

Thanks for this. Yes. As I understand the chemistry, the acid is needed to liberate the CO2 from the baking soda, forming bubbles that acts like a natural "foam" to assist in removing dirt and grime from the surface of the plant material. I will definitely allow for the difference in acid...

Bud Washing - Stuck in CoVid19 Lock Down with NO Lemon Juice!

My problem is getting rid of dirt build-up during an outdoor grow. I don't have powdery mildew. Also don't have peroxide. The question was; Can I use vinegar instead of lemon juice for an normal, post harvest (out door grow) wash? Anyone please!

Bud Washing - Stuck in CoVid19 Lock Down with NO Lemon Juice!

I'm close to harvesting my Out Door Grow (first ever grow) plants and need to do a Bud Wash, but I'm stuck with no Lemon Juice. Any suggestions please?!! If Lemon Juice is only required to lower pH so that the Baking Soda can do it's job, will vinegar do the job? Please help!

Ethyl Acetate vs Ethanol and ISO for extraction

Thanks to all so far. Lot to go and think about. Up to a week ago I was all ready for EtOH (QWET) extraction. Unfortunately here 96% EtOH cost 5 times the price that they sell Food Grade 99.9% EtOAc (for extraction in the food industry) for. Have to consider a lot of things. I don't smoke...

Ethyl Acetate vs Ethanol and ISO for extraction

Looking at the polarity of the solvents and their miscibility in water, Ethyl Acetate looks way better than both EtOH and Iso. As a Scientist I have to ask myself, why is it not used?!!

Ethyl Acetate vs Ethanol and ISO for extraction

You do realise that ethyl acetate is rapidly metabolised (in the body) into Ethanol and acetic acid witch is then further metabolised and expelled. Woman using Nail polish remover (70-80% ethyl acetate) ingest notable amount daily. Unless you plan suicide and drink 100ml of nail polish, don't...

Ethyl Acetate vs Ethanol and ISO for extraction

I'm new to growing Cannabis and with my first harvest (outdoor grow) 4-6 weeks away, I'm preparing for some sort of extraction and infusion of the final material. I would like to extract some oil using the quick wash ethanol method. Ethyl Acetate is used in the Food industry for extraction. I...

    Concentrating Tincture Help

If I use VG and soak for 3 hours, that will give me an infusion and not an extract that I can concentrate? Is that correct? Can I not use Ethyl Acetate instead of the Ethanol to do the Extraction? I'm new to this and about 4 weeks away from my first harvest (outdoor grow in South Africa).
