How much nutrients for plants in the ground?

For generations, Native Americans buried whole fish beneath the root system of plants being transplanted into bigger holes. Cut one whole mackerel in two and stuff it down the hole about a foot deep, then add a sprinkling of worm castings or native soil to cover up the fish, before finally...

Blazing heat, smoke-filled skies, illegal! What could possibly go wrong?

Hell, I'm as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs

    Malawi Cob Experiment Experiment Experiment

I am aware that this thread is a year old, but an honorable mention is due to the Always Mighty Cobfather of the Known Universe, otherwise known as Tangwena, who hails from Down Under, and who has perfected the art of creating Malawi cobs of superlative quality. The discussion topic on this...

My Grow Diary. First timer. Here goes.

I just emerged from my dwelling under a rock to offer up some praise for that nicely assembled greenhouse last year, and for that feat of producing superb buddage even in the dead of a New York winter, thanks to the miracle of supplemental lighting. Truth be told I get green with envy at the...

Harvest day - my drying room

Wow, that room probably smells heavenly. I can imagine myself running about dementedly in that room, rooting through the suspended buddage like a demented Chernobyl hog.

Does Fish Meal Kill Transplanted Seedlings ?

It never occurred to me that the light schedule could have been a factor in the wilting of all those clones once they were transplanted. This is worth taking into consideration for sure.

Does Fish Meal Kill Transplanted Seedlings ?

Hello fellow growers. I had some really healthy clones that were beginning to outgrow the plastic cups in which I started them out, so I decided to transplant them into slightly larger containers. Having recently read that fish meal is an ideal organic nutrient that breaks down very slowly...

Would a led light strip help a seedling at all?

I learned in this forum that pretty much any sort of electrical light will suffice to get seeds germinating, so you ought to have good germ rates and seedling development with the light strip you describe, at least for the first month or so.

Silent Stealth River-Fed Irrigation for Outdoor Guerilla Growers

The most likely mode of failure with this floating barrel coil pump design, would be water seepage through any of the points where the drum is perforated to install the mounting bolts that affix the paddles. Rubber gaskets and sealant used to waterproof those numerous bolt-holes could spring a...

Silent Stealth River-Fed Irrigation for Outdoor Guerilla Growers

I look forward to hearing from anyone who can rig one of these pumps up, because that'll give others the inspiration to try this idea. This barrel design with the coiled pipe contained inside the drum, would probably be light enough for one person to carry, which is a big draw for me...

Silent Stealth River-Fed Irrigation for Outdoor Guerilla Growers

I am so excited about this discovery I just made that I am posting it in TWO gardening websites. Read on, and you will agree with me that the easily fabricated, river-powered irrigation water pump described below, represents an earth-shaking quantum leap in stealth garden irrigation technology...

I never knew there was any other way beside mail order, for seed buyers living in far flung places like me.

    where is everyone getting Seeds!!!

I highly recommend Ali Bongo in the UK. They are the absolute MASTERS of stealth mailing, and their catalog of seeds is mind-boggling. I happen to love lemon scented flavors of weed, and here is a sample of their offerings in this genre alone...

Brand new bong broke, is it repairable??

Holy Moly ! I didn't bother to read the entire rambling story, where the OP owned up to being a weed crop thief. No wonder someone mentioned karma right away ha ha. Anyway, this topic now takes on a more ridiculous tone than I previously surmised. Confessing to being a weed ripper in a weed...

Brand new bong broke, is it repairable??

Ha ha wait a minute, I can't be broke. There are still more unused checks in my booklet. On a serious note, I recycle my underwear and have never binned a single pair of "Y" fronts for over a decade, I am proud to announce. I notice that they don't fade as quickly, if they are never...

Brand new bong broke, is it repairable??

I agree that this is one ex-bong that has joined its ancestors, and should not be used again despite its sentimental value. Inhaling even the tiniest sliver of broken glass would be disastrous. That thing coast a fortune for sure. $350 is serious money for a breakable item. My tree percolator...

How long should I be running my light?

I do not qualify as an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I have been running my cheap Chinese LED lights 24 hours on, for weeks, and the mother plants I have going are thriving. To prevent overheating, I have two lights plugged into separate timers whereby each light only runs for...

Wanted Can someone tell me of a good seed bank...

Ali Bongo recently relocated from the UK, to Spain. Their beans are top notch, and they listen to requests for stealth shipping, before applying truly ingenious methods to ensure those precious beans fly well under the radar.

Can Pure Sativa Clones Go from 24 hours light to Outdoors without Premature Flowering ?

This reassuring reply is appreciated, Hometeader. I had a devil of a time figuring out how to make these timers work, so I am reluctant to go in and alter their settings now that the clones are all doing so well under 24 hours uninterrupted indoor light. With pure indicas out here under the...
