    by sunday i'm calling it.

I don't think an active growing tent is a good place to dry flower. The heat from the lights, and temperature and humidity swings would be bad, I think. There are a lot of ways to dry and cure. On the cheap when I don't want to mess things up, I dry in a cardboard box or paper grocery bag. If...

Something isn't right. My plant seems like it quit growing.

I wouldn't say "have to." If I get over 40% humidity in veg it's a pretty good day. I usually run lower- to middle-30s and the plants are happy and healthy.

Congrats, you made it! Just don't let your less-fortunate friends smoke it all up. I imagine your stash is going to disappear a lot faster than you plan. 🤣

Midflower Problems - topdressing not helping?

I've used the "soil replacement" method too, this summer for the same reason. I also was surprised by how well it worked.

Midflower Problems - topdressing not helping?

I don't know. I worked this out through observation. I just didn't want to use light meters, etc. It appears to me that leaves grow different "stuff" depending on the quality, intensity and frequency mix of their light source. I don't know if that's true, but it's the understanding I operate...

Midflower Problems - topdressing not helping?

This is a rule of thumb that I use. Start with the light high, and lower it by a couple of inches a day. Once the plants start to pray and your tent is full and you want more coverage, raise it by an inch. If you don't have anything in the corners/sides of the tent, continue daily lowering until...

You're definitely going to be able to save her, no worries.

Midflower Problems - topdressing not helping?

Yeah but light burn should be restricted to the top of the plant. It certainly seems that you've given her enough nutes, and sometimes a lockout looks like a deficiency. Have you flushed her? I would flush the hell out of her, then feed her a weak nutrient solution. Admittedly, I'd be guessing.

Just call me 'Johnny Vicariously.' I'm a self-serving bastage. 🤣

Yeah, you should get some fat yields from those ladies.

Trust me, it's never enough. I'm able to keep up with moderate consumption but can't seem to accumulate anything.

I smoke right after drying but the flower that makes it a month or so into the cure always supplies a better buzz and usually more potency.

Sorry - this is just a range - 2-3.5 oz/plant. 5-6 oz./plant is possible. I've seen it in others' grows, just rarely in mine. 🤣

I would expect to see some foxtailing if nitrogen is pushing it too hard so I think you're in good shape. Also leaf tips look good.

By now I'd normally have the next set of moms sprouting.

At least you shouldn't have to worry about that. Worst case, it finishes when it should but you get less yield.

Grow deux - Critical Kush in rural Thailand

I've got a 4x4 crammed full of #5s in various stages of flower. One plant's in a #7. I've got about 850 watts mixed COB LEDs. Yields vary. Usually 2-3 oz/plant, sometimes a little more or even less, but that's a lot of harvests. I'm moving to Home Depot buckets though, because I realized they...

When I was making my foray into growing outdoors, I read that cannabis only needs about six hours of direct sunlight daily. Your lights aren't sunlight but that still applies. They should be fine with shorter days, so long as they're able to get an uninterrupted night. They probably won't yield...

Grow deux - Critical Kush in rural Thailand

In my first grow I used prepackaged nutes and followed the program and my yield was really good. Since then I've been doing my own thing and learning. So after 3 years this month, I'm finally getting back to consistently doing as well as those first harvests.

They'll adjust. Kudos for some quick thinking! Much earlier in the thread you mentioned that you were using those five gallon hardware store buckets for planters. I'm thinking it's actually pretty brilliant. Those five gallon containers take up the same floor space as five gallon cannabis...
