Probably just Hypoaspis Miles, and they eat fungus gnat larvae, so they're beneficial - and they won't leave the soil to crawl around your very expensive house - google some pics of them and see if they look the same as what's crawling around in your soil and if that's the case, just leave them

Spinosad won't do anything for mites - it'll just take care of thrips the only time i was able to take out mites with Azamax was when i dipped them rather than spraying them keep your plants healthy and always look for the least healthiest plant, spider mites prefer the path of least...

I'd say the only time it's not a good idea to heavily defoliate is when your plants aren't growing at an optimum level - if everything is on point, they keep on rockin with less larf and take off whatever you feel comfortable with i prefer a more moderate (but somewhat heavy in some ppl's eyes)...

I only read the first page, im sure there was some fun stuff to read in the middle pages but whatever those will be alright - you'd be surprised how much you can take off and they keep chuggin along - as long as they're doing well before you defoliate...if they're not, then thats when it can...
