Hi Smoking Gun,
When you want to get 100% out a room you have to understand what you do
150% and also know the gear how it works. This is why I show all so detailed
that others can take notice and also understand what I do.
Hi Nuttso,
Yes you can control humidity but also it balances the...
Thanks for the positive vibes and feedback.
I started a building report of a 12/12 flower room
https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/2x-10x-400w-flower-room-build-from-scratch-hennepdesk-style.50533/
So when you have plans to build or modify your own room then have a look.

@ Nuttso
In a later update you'll see how I control the cross ventilation.
For now I tell you. Just with a simple 2 output fan controller.
@ Bigdaftones
It looks complex but it is 10x the same action.
The update:
The wooden framed 3500m3/h exhaust ventilator is mounted at its place to the...
Ready for the next update? planning to change your grow setup?
Ok time for the next update
Time to finish the switchboard and wiring. The components are mounted in a small junction box.
All components are mounted on din-rails. Now all cables have to be connected to the terminal clamps...
@ Nuttso
Thanks for the compliment and let the update answer your question.
To control temperature I will use 2x BTC 8Amp controllers. The exhaust fan (3500m3/h) has a max current of 6,3Amp.
The inlet fan (1400m3/h) a current of 1,5Amp. Normal I would use SPC 7Amp controller but the...
Thanks all for the positive vibes and remarks
@ Elements11
I wanted to fit in all in the small room. Those tanks take a lot of space but
this way you solve 2 problems in one action. Fill and empty the basin in the
flower rooms and the space the tanks would use.
:) for the offer Smoking Gun...
Thanks again Smoking Gun. Happy to read some replies.
@ Elements 11 your welcome.
Just a small update
You all time have some jobs you don't like to do. But best to take the bull by its horns
The entrance of the corridor was clay. I placed some paving stones, wettent them and put pure...
Hi Smoking Gun,
Yes I do. This is why:
The ballast produce heat and I want use this heat to dry the air. When I want higher humidity
I simply turn the cross ventilation to 100%. The room with the lights of is cold compared to
the room with the lights on. I use air from in the building to...
Hi SmokingGun,
No its wise to move when people start to ask questions
I'll use 6 these type of ventilators. 2x 3500m3/hour and 4x 1400m3/hour. 2 1400m3/hour for fresh air in
The ventilators are without flange and aren't boxed.I mount a wooden flange to the ventilators
The length...
@ A1NUTRIENTS
I put in this room all experience and knowledge from the last 15 years growing.
@ Smoking Gun
This is still only the start. Much more to come. This ain't a live building report.
So I try to post an update every day when possible.
Lets update:
The gypsum panel wall...
@ NaturalTherapy, MakinGoo, GreenTnT
Thanks for the kind words. Update time :)
The wooden support for the gypsum wall is so high that that the space between support and ceiling is 2meter. The length of a gypsum board.
The corridor to walk and prepare the water is some 80cm. The doors are...
Note the OSB lid on the tanks. The water tanks are below the floor level so I will use gravity to empty the basins
Each room will have its own drain with 50mm diameter cleanout drain.
The cleanout drain is split to mount it in the OSB panels. The top will hold the pond liner
A 50mm...
Hi Smoking Gun,
Happy you follow and ask. The answer is no or you should consider the
small corridor I create above the tanks as a room. Let me show you how
and why I dig in the tanks.
I place 20mm poly styrene panels as insulator.
You can glue the poly styrene with pu foam from a spray...
The location for the drain is prepared. Through the drain I will fill the basin and drain it.
Now the floor at the right side for the first room is ready the floor for the second room can be put in place.
It 's the same procedure as in the first room. As you can see is the wall b/w foil...
Thanks SmokingGun for the reply and thinking. I've chosen an other solution. When you
would make a concrete floor it had to be some 8cm (3") thick and it needed that metal
netting to prevent the concrete to crack. So I came up with this solution.
After leveling the clay a 20mm polystyrene...
Thanks Smoking gun for the reply. Wait till I post the switchpanel I use to control the lights.
I'm gonna add some b/w (black/white) foil
The foil in the 2 small windows preventing someone look in will be replaced. It 's a narrow room for 2 rooms
The battens are covered with duck tape to...
I forgot to answer and reply.
@ ProdigyGrower,
Nothing Bad Ass yet :)
@ Smoking Gun,
Yes that's true. But it keeps you in shape. I do all myself.
Everyone can learn and understand electric work. Start
simple and you can make it complex as you want. Who k
knows what I'll show after this...
First I planned how to divide the space for 2 rooms and 900 liter (3x 300liter water tanks) for watering the plants.
Second I placed some small mothers under 3x 400W (see ballasts) because they can grow during building. The
switch panel is mounted at the wall. 3x 32A will power all.
A...
This will be a building report of 2 flowering rooms with cross circulation, water preparation and 20x 400W SON-t pia power by 10x 400W Luxgear in an 4,2x3,8x2,2 meters small room.
The room has a 25A 3x 400V socket. 3 small windows. 2 will be blinded and the one on the image will be used to...
@ Rollon,
You're correct that you have to buy some more gear but no extra ballasts.
When you run a 12/12 setup split over 2 rooms you can use relays to switch
the output of the balllast between 2 lamps. The biggest advantage is you use
only half the current for 12 hours a day. WWF and...
