EZ Cloner Collars - is there a re-usable option?

Yeah, they're expensive...that's higher than they were when I bought them, though. I can vouch that they last forever. I clone atleast monthly and my first set is over 4 years old w just a little fade. Here's some pic of hiw they look as they get olders. I microwave sterilize them now where as...

EZ Cloner Collars - is there a re-usable option?

PermaClone is your answer! I've been using my forst set for over 4 years and second set for about 3 years. They're microwave and heat sterilizable and can be easily dunk sterilized. Literally the best collar of all Time. Their cloning methods are also amazing. They're changing the game all...

    EZ Cloner...Not so Easy...

I was struggling with cloning at first but PermaClone collars along w/ their methods got me where I don't even break-down my system anymore. Check out their blog articles, they'll set you straight and cover methods for keeping sterile, sterilizing your water and your cloning collars...

Ogbiowar In Cloner Caused Root Rot

It seems the foliar pack would probably not be ideal. Beneficials are weird, though. I've found that what's amazing for rooted plants doesn't help with cloning. I'm actually amazed (and intrigued) that you found Orca works well in the cloner...partiucarly at 81 F I use the Permaclone's methods...

What's You're Dialed In Simple Nutrientnutrient Recipe?

I totally agree, with organics the beneficials change the whole game. I'd guess it then depends on what species of bacteria or fungi are in your systems.

What's You're Dialed In Simple Nutrientnutrient Recipe?

I learned much of what I know from Canna Nutrients. Here's an excerpt from their growing guide and it has been my personal experience that around week 2 - 4 you start seeing drops in pH. "During the growing phase, plants tend to cause the nutrient solution’s pH to rise. This happens because at...

Long-time follower. Would love more details on you cloning style. I'm curious about 3 things: 1. do you use bleach or peroxide 2. I've read more about 3 cycles times you use and curious what you've decided on using 3. what ppm's do you run. I realize you run 250 cal/mag...but what's you total...

Yike, just checked back on this thread...I didn't intend to offend anyone. I definitely wasn't trying to bash DJ nor would I want to start a thread doing so.

    Seed Question:

Also, Snow, yes if the herm was from the end of flower (per my readings from Soma's book) those are a great method for breeding naturally feminized seeds. No personal exerience w/ that one. If the herm was from earlier in flower, I WOULD collect seeds from those strains that did NOT herm, but...

    Seed Question:

Yeah, the idea that thai herm is from DJ short. My personal experience is that blueberry from Dutch passion (which was claimed to be from DJ) would herm under very ideal conditions. Between my experience and his commentary I concluded it was thai-based. Actually, i love chocolope which is choc...

First time Cloning, used Hormex, Almost roots, wierd! Help plz..

C.Alchemy, I agree, simplicity works great. I just wanted to point out that if you're adding NAA to your cuttings, the plant will focus on making callouses and not roots. The guy who started this thread AND myself would have been better off using nothing; instead when we grabbed the average...

    Seed Question:

Was there more than one strain? The strain that released the pollen I would not collect seeds from, but if there was a strain around that DID NOT herm and received the pollen (that was a fantastic strain) I would collect from. For example, if you had a blueberry strain that released the pollen...

First time Cloning, used Hormex, Almost roots, wierd! Help plz..

I've had that same problem and it took me almost a year to realize why my cutting were taking so long to root, while producing un precedented amounts of calluses. My research and testing proved it was my hormone. NAA (the main ingredient in hormex solution and few other products) causes callus...

Microbe Tea in EZ Cloner 120

DirtySanchez, you're freakin right on. One thing to consider is that ANY suppliment that has ammonia in it will cause the chlorine to immediately evaporate. GH's pH down actually has ammonia in it, so you have to find one who's MSDS says it only contains Phosphoric Acid. I'm not sure about...

FOR THOSE WHO CLONE IN A TURBO OR EZ CLONER I Would like to share this with you

www.permaclone.com ...heat sterilizable collars, 5 year warranty. Bake or pressure cook to sterilize to the core. They work great and I've been using mine for almost a year with no loss of shape and just a little fading of color...not to mention my price per clone went to zero.

Microbe Tea in EZ Cloner 120

PS: People are saying that this "slime" is cyanobacteria. There are publications that discuss challenges with keeping cyanobacteria out of municipal water supplies. There are also literature on cyanobacteria resistant to chlorine. I've also read that this problem with cloners could be pythium...
