Yes sir 100% hydroton. I go from ezclone to 6" cocobaskets filled with hydroton. These are in a table for veg. After 4 weeks I pick up the cocobasket with roots hanging down into the ebb& grow. I don't think that basket holds water any better than hydroton.

i have the ebb & grow running all hydroton & i flood every 1.5 hours. i tried every 3 and bitches bout died.

Passive=not active jk a passive is a second res that is used to top off the main res when it's depleted. Usually done with gravity and a float valve, no pump hence the name passive.

I'm not positive this is your prob but I had some blades on some veging fan leaves do 2 full barell rolls. In my case it was nut burn, but I have seen loads of pics with contorted sugar leaves. Are they crispie?

I'm pretty sure your right about the over fert that's why I have been flushing it. But this is my first grow & it keeps dying even after the flushes. I believe there is plenty of light. 1 1000watt light right over it. Temps are mid 70's.
