Advanced nutrients. What to use and what not to use?

Yes, for the first time I am using HGV and really happy with it so far. Regarding, Ron, the owner. What a guy. I am really impressed with the guy. He personally answers any questions I might have, at any time.

Lack of Trichomes into 5th week of flower

Hey guys, hope everyone is doing well. I am using HGV formula for my SOG (Sea Of Green) grow. The strain is London Ice Cream. The PH I use is always between 5.7 to 5.9 with 1500 PPM (3.0 EC). The runoff ph is 5.7-5.8 and PPM is around 1500-1600. So far I haven’t used any additives...

Are these Rice Root Apids or something else?

BTW, thank you for your help with the reviving the plants. I got the PPM down from 3000 to 800, then fed them half strength. They look much better, although I think the bugs had something to do with all that issues.

Are these Rice Root Apids or something else?

Yes, I’m about to spray with SNS 203 then with tomorrows feeding, I’ll mix it with nutrients so it gets to the roots. Based on my research these are called Rice Root Aphids.

Hey guys, today I noticed these guys crawling on the drip hose. Are these apids? Right now I’m about to spray them with SNS 203. Do you think it is effective against these? Thank you. Crazy…

    Need Help Identifying a Symptom

@Dirtbag Ok, will do. BTW, I use tap water which already is around 200 ppm. Should I still mix some small amount of nutes, or I’m good to go with this? Thank you.

    Need Help Identifying a Symptom

@tobh I just finished flushing but the ppm of the runoff is still around 2000-3000 range and ph is around 5.6-5.7. Should I continue with another 100 gallon but with half strength nutrients or with clean water once again? I know you mentioned something called osmotic which raptures the cells...

    Need Help Identifying a Symptom

@Dirtbag I just finished flushing. I used a hose to flush them, to make sure all the surface is covered. However, the PPM is still way high around 2000-3000 and the PH is 5.6-5.7. Should I just leave them alone or continue with another 100 gallon of water?

    Need Help Identifying a Symptom

@tobh Thank you for your valuable input friend. Just FYI, my setup is Sea of Green, which means small trees. When I was starting to configure the drip system, I tested each 6x6 for a 15% runoff and it took around 750 mil each to get the 15%.

@Dirtbag I truly appreciate your expert advice. Yes, I plan on feeding them in probably 4 increments. The lights come on at 7:15AM. 1st feed of 180 mil each at 8:00am, 2nd feed of the same at 11:00am, 3rd feed at 2:00pm, 4th feed at 5:00pm. Two hours before the lights are out. Should I do...

    Need Help Identifying a Symptom

Brother Dirtbag. Thank you for your advice. I am new to Rockwool so this is all new to me. I feed each 6x6 cube 750mil. I’d like to follow your suggestion and feed them multiple times. I have 100 gallon tank and 500 plants. Should I start feeding them an hour after the lights come on and...

    Need Help Identifying a Symptom

Yes, I think you are right. I feed them 3 times, then water once. I feed them every other day, but If I did what you say, feeding every day, wouldn’t that be too much moisture for the Rockwool?

    Need Help Identifying a Symptom

Man, I wish I stack to my tested nutrients. As i said, this time i chose to go with HGV nutes. I spoke with the manufacturer several times and each time they insisted I feed from the start to finish with 1500 ppm and not give any additives, so I did as they recommended. I have 100 gallon tank...

:( yes guys, I think so too. I just flushed one of them with clean ph 5.7 water. The ph of the runoff came to 5.8, but the ppm was 2200, wow. So as soon as the lights are on, I will flush them with RO water and 2 mil of Revive. I hope this will clear all the salts and what not from them...
