Could Cold Res Change Cause Root Rot?

Too much aggitation at the root zone, try reducing the forced air coming in through the air pump....and give those girls some food! This should get you back on track.

    Jack's/peters Hydroponic In Undercurrent

From what I've come to learn, it seems like thats all you need to do is stay within set parameters no matter the medium, it just seems that we growers prefer to complicate everything.

Probably potassium....try using a mild dose of a pk booster and see if it improves.

It all depends on whats available to you as far as pricing is concerned, but once you know what it will cost to get the salt, then it is just a matter of how often you flush and refill based on the amount of water to fill your system.

    Jack's/peters Hydroponic In Undercurrent

I run a custom under current that I designed and built. I come from a lifetime of aquariums so I was intrigued with water, and the promise of low EC concentrations resulting in less money spent. I run a perpetual system and after a ton of R&D (research and development) I've finally got my...

The new photos look like a deficiency and not salt toxicity. Based on elemental ppm, you should not worry about salt burn at that EC because you are not giving your plant any where near toxic levels of any element at that EC. At the recommended feeding rate from Jacks, you are meeting most of...

    Jack's/peters Hydroponic In Undercurrent

The purpose of me writing this post was due to all of the misinformation that is out there, particularly for DWC/Undercurrent. Though I have not seen your plants, your roots look excellent so my assumption is that they are deficient, and NOT salt toxic. Try slowly increasing their feed and see...

    Jack's/peters Hydroponic In Undercurrent

What strains are you running? It sounds like an uptake issue. How do your roots look? Whatever is happening now has little to do with your EC being high. I have had my EC much higher with hungry plants with no adverse effects.

    Blue Dream?

More than likely you are under feeding. In my estimation, low EC is a myth as you can not satisfy the plants nutrient profile. They need what they need, and cannot get a balanced meal with low EC.

Accidental, and I have asked a moderator to delete this. This got linked to something I was reading earlier. My apologies.

What's You're Dialed In Simple Nutrientnutrient Recipe?

For me, I use scrogs and 1 plant/light. Long story short, I train (LST, Top, Fim etc.) them from when they are small in order to get the most out of that method.

What's You're Dialed In Simple Nutrientnutrient Recipe?

Great article, really good information. One thing I noticed in the article was that it mentioned how the nutrient solution plays a part in root secretions. "To a large extent, the nutrient solution’s composition determines whether or not the roots excrete predominantly alkaline or acidic...

Silica, Who Uses It And How Much?

Spending that much money on a nonessential element is a ridiculous idea. Silica is not necessary for successful grows, particularly in UC. You are better off investing that kings ransom into your room and instead avoid all of the issues that silica is alledging to reduce....ijs

What's You're Dialed In Simple Nutrientnutrient Recipe?

How far are your lights from your plants? The ph can be dropping due to light stress. Flower and veg lighting is typically vastly different and can be a major contributor to transitional stress. I try to double the distance from the lights during the transition to flower FWIW.

What's You're Dialed In Simple Nutrientnutrient Recipe?

If your pH is dropping then you may need to dial something down. A general rule of thumb in UC is that if the pH is dropping, then you are feeding too much FWIW.

    UC + ChillKing 2HP, pics?

You can also use a standard central AC to accomplish this and save thousands. Hydro innovations units are great in concept and quality, but seriously overpriced. As far as building a manifold, think of it like a fire prevention sprinkler system.
