    Totally understood. Good Luck!!

    Oxine.. Chlorine Dioxide?

Plants will much better tolerate OXINE-WT at 2-ppm than almost any dose of pool shock. I'm just curious why you would go with pool shock.

    Oxine.. Chlorine Dioxide?

Perhaps avoid adding any "beneficial bacteria" products for a while and keep up the dosage daily.

    Oxine.. Chlorine Dioxide?

You can add them any time after you see improvement in root rot. I’d probably wait til at least 96 hours of daily treatments though. After the root rot is under control and you drop to 1-ppm OXINE you can use any probiotic you want as needed.

    Oxine.. Chlorine Dioxide?

By not activating OXINE-WT at the low doses as per above would not control pathogens. To get a biocidal effect with unactivated OXINE-WT you would have to treat at levels that would be phytotoxic to your plants.

    Oxine.. Chlorine Dioxide?

PDasterly, If your DWC system has evidence of plant pathogens start at 2-ppm. Per the EPA Label that's 1.28 ounces OXINE-WT activated with 4 grams Citric Acid per 100 gallons water. Otherwise dose at 0.5 ppm. That would be 0.32 ounces OXINE-WT activated with 1.024 grams Citric Acid per 100...

Wtf Is This Slime? It's Not Pythium

I'm just glad to hear it helped with his problem. OXINE is an oxidizing biocide so perhaps some of the active was consumed in reactions with iron, manganese or some organics in the reservoir/water/fertilizer which would have knocked down the active levels. I really appreciate your comments. Like...

Wtf Is This Slime? It's Not Pythium

Hi Natural, 5ml/gal would give your buddy a 26.4 ppm solution of OXINE. This is way over the recommended dosage for horticulture water treatment which is 0.25 ppm up to 2 ppm. I would hate to see someone experience phytotoxicity issues by overdosing . Per the OXINE Label, you would add 0.4 ml of...

    Oxine.. Chlorine Dioxide?

I work for the manufacturer of OXINE, Bio-Cide International, Inc. in Oklahoma, USA. I can confirm what WAVEGEM posted about the chemistry being very effective against the plant pathogens that affect hydroponics growers. Since I receive a fair number of calls from growers who heard about the...
