This is a 30 gallon pot grow in a 4x4 tent. Il be growing a cross of GG4 x Suge Pure Kush gifted to me from my friend sober over at OG.
The pot is full of my own supersoil mix. I don't plan on mainlining or putting up a net. I might top it though, and that'll be it. So come on by and take a seat. Should be a fun one as long as I don't kill it. Let's grow!

That should be a nice one to watch. A 30 gallon pot in a 4x4 gives you enough soil mass for the plant to settle into the biology instead of needing something every watering. Biggest thing early is not treating that pot like a small container. The surface can look ready while the middle is still holding a lot of moisture, so I’d go by pot weight and the plant more than a schedule.

Plant looks happy in the pic. If you’re not putting a net up, I’d probably top once, let the lowers catch up, and do a little hand bending as she starts moving. With GG4 in the mix she may want to sprawl, so shaping her early will make the stretch easier without having to fight her later. Nice cross, I’ll follow along.

It's nice to have you along @compostmike ! Thanks for the info, I never grew gg4 nor suge pure kush before. I was thinking something similar with the soil mass. Bigger roots bigger fruits...

Ya man, she looks pretty compact…never grown any gg4 crosses, I can’t even say that I’ve smoked gg4 believe it or not.
Yeah it's pretty compact and it's got some thick stems on her too. Gg4 is a nice smoke. I only smoked it from the dispensaries but it's pretty good. @Bigalmoby I heard the same thing about the stretch from several people whose grown it. Just aint there. It'll be my first plant with little to no stretch. Iv been growing these sativas lately and I had a limon verde stain more then quadruple in size during stretch...

That's a good question. It's been a month since germination. If the stretch is low I would think another month to 8 weeks or somewhere in there. What do you think bud?

Good looking so far. I m pulling for you. After many years in Northern California i returned back to the south to take care of my parents. Currently in the process of doing a similar project, have some Dairy Queen beans from Subcool himself RIP, that have been sitting in my freezer since 2017. I popped 7 of them 2 weeks ago. I couldn't believe how quickly they were ready to go into soil after 10 years in storage. I remember back in 2013 before the gsc strains took over the demand for sour d and ogk was was huge. I would always have a row of flavors for my personal;Bubblegum, Eddy lepp og and dairy queen along with xj13 were some of my favorite flavors. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Nice, in a 30 g you probably don't have to add anything but water the whole grow. How tall you gonna let her go before flipping? Whats the lighting look like?

Thanks @TNDave ! I appreciate it bud. Those are some good strains you mentioned. Good luck with those! Feel free to post pics or anything anytime bud. Yeah 10 years is a long time in storage for something to germinate imo.
@Bigalmoby I decided not train her any. I did top the main cola one time though. That's all I plan on doing except cleaning up the bottom.
@Week4Bytch thanks! Yeah its a supersoil mix so it's just straight water... I haven't decided how tall I want to grow her. I was told this strain has very little stretch so I'll let it get bigger then the 30 gallon pot for sure. I'm using 2 tsl2000 mars hydro lights. Pulling around 600 watts from the wall..

Bit off topic, though just had to say that's well crazy you had some seeds direct from SubCool himself - what an honour! You must have had some good connections going on in 2017 hehe! I'd so love to own & grow those!

And it's really interesting to hear they're still good & solid after 10 years in the freezer lol - I would never have guessed they'd still be viable - great news & best of luck with them dude!
