Calyx is showing cloudy, near 60% so close , by the time he chops he may have amber and by the time she dries, it would be perfect .
Strain depending, some harvest at cloudy and some at amber
Sativa - I do at more amber, cuts that racy feeling down
Indica - I harvest at full amber for the sedative hit
Hybrids- I go for a good 50-50 mix Amber to cloudy. Never harvest at clear.

Hey last 2 days before harvest do a full dark period to really overdrive the trichs into finishing .
Meaning leave her in the dark 2 days

Totally agree with you. I prefer to let them go longer than most. Not for amber necessarily, but to really let them fill, cloud, and get that pyramid bottom and huge top. If a plant starts to amber rapidly, and/or most calyxes are swollen and heads swollen, it's acceptable to most people's standards. I do believe that most harvest a bit early and was only trying to gauge op and hear him.

This break from uvb/light allows vital resin components(terpenes, thc, etc.) to build up instead of being damaged from the light and depleted throughout the day. Plants stink most in the morning and i always harvest before lights on. Hunt plants i'll stick in the closet a day or two before harvest just like you said. I would be wary of this if op has high humidity though. I'm not sure i would dark out a plant that far from peak health either. Buds look great though.

Yep agree, his setup is really good and he does have great control on environment is the only reason I’d suggest the dark before chop! Gotta be careful if the environment is bad! Lol be some mouldy weed for sure!

Shoot I’ve had by mistake mold show up, 2 days into drying! Was like wtf! Turns out our dehumidifier was short cycling and man our data logger showed spikes of 100% humidity! That at was a costly failure ! Never again! The dehumidifier is the checked every 2 hours now! Lol

Yup that $3 molasses just as good as the $20 bud candy. Or any carb sugar nutrient I’ve used. Multiple brands
