1000w to 600w

i have a 1000w setup, i would like to go to a 600w. i threw a craigslist post out there and i got a response. someone has a lumitek 600w ballast, now assuming it works right, he was saying that as long as the hood plug fits, i can still use my 1000w hood. is that right?? if thats right then i can just trade him, go get a 600w bulb from the shop and plug and play right? i dont plan on trading if it doesn't work obviously, so let me know.

you got a 50/50 chance, hydrofarm and sunlight supply both use different connections, but adapters are cheap, you will need one of these if it doesn't match up click here or click here

Yeah, I've got a couple different connectors because I've got Hydrofarm and Sunlight Supply stuff. Spent maybe $20 on everything to make sure they all play together.

Just remember that digi ballasts won't drive all bulbs.
