@FloridaMike maybe you can help me with these questions?
Hello I am currently doing my 1st indoor grow and after a lot of research and tips from some people on here i have decided to go with...

Mega grow 1 part
sweet candy
sea kelp
bud booster
& cal-mag
(all from greenleaf nutrients)
All water soluble.

I have a 4x4 grow tent with a mars hydro fc-e4800 led light.
I will be using Royal Gold tupar as the medium which as im sure you all know is a coco coir perlite mix.

I have 4, 5 gallon fabric pots in my 4x4 tent. I have been growing my plants and have done basically the entire veg without using any nutes just bottled water and plants are doing great so far but are ready to be transplanted into their 5 gal pots (currently in 1 gal.) and then flipped to a 12-12 cycle so they can start to flower.

I will be using RO water and setting my pots on individual trays(saucers really).

My plants are..
2 GMOxGassy Taffy
2 Grease Fire #4's (Greasebucket#4xGassy Taffy)

My questions are
1.) Since I am using Mega Grow 1 part, will I need to use the cal-mag? If do how often and how doni know when to use it and when not to use it?
2.) Since I am using Royal Gold tupar coco coir/perlite mix how often will I need to feed my plants per day? Will 1 time be enough or will I have to feed them twice a day? Am draing to waste btw
3.)Since I have nit given the pla ts any nutes yet I have heard to start with a 50% amount of the recommended amount to give the plants and slowly increase from there throughout the flowering stage Until I get to full recommended dose. Is this correct?
4.) I will be mixing up my nutes in five gallon buckets, was planning on only mixing 1 five gallon buckets worth of nutes and feeding my four 5 gal plants with that 5 gallons. Is this going to be enough? Will 5 gallons be enough for two feedings a day or just one? Or neither? Am going to be hand watering-drain to waste.
5.) How many gallons of water with nutes should I be giving these 4, 5 gallon plants per feeding.?
6.) DRAINAGE! What should I do to deal with the runoff from feeding? From what ive read ill have a good bit of runoff since im using the Royal gold tupar coco coir and perlite mix. How do I get rid of the runoff? Do I just turkey baste it out of the tryas and dispose of it? Have no idea what to do about the runoff..
7.) Is there anything else that I am missing or tips, tricks or any things I should definitely do or need to know?

I know its a lot of questions, i apologize for this but as i said this is my first grow so any and all help, advice or knowledge tossed my way is greatly appreciated. Cannot tell you how much I appreciate everyone that will hopefully reply to my post and gives me some very much needed help. It means the world to me, honestly. I swear I had another question or two but cannot think of it right now but if i do i will make another post. Also i am sorry for writing a novel lol just wanted to get it all out in one post, I hope that was the right way to go about it. Thank you to all who reply🙏🙏🙏

1) Yes. Cal-mag is very important especially when using RO water.

2) Coco has no nutrients and must be fed every watering. How many x per day depends on size of plants & containers. It's important to never let coco dry out completely or it will become hydrophobic (water repelling)

3) Not quite - Start at 50% and slowly increase until they are out of the seedling stage and into full veg. By then, they should be at full strength nutrients. @Captspaulding or @BearWater are much more adapt @ MegaGrow than me as I have just recently switched from General Hydroponics as per their recommendations.

4) They will be using different amts throughout the grow. If running drain to waste just water until 10% runoff* (*I don't grow in coco, perhaps @PlumberSoCal2 or @Grownsince95 can be of more use on coco ins & outs than me).

5) That's totally dependent on the plants and container size, how much they are drinking etc. You can't really over water in coco tho, so I'd err on the side of caution and water with a little less, but more frequently to insure proper root zone oxygen lvls.

6) Whoa, you said drain to waste. To me that suggests your table or whatever is connected directly to a drain whereas you can run as much as you want thru them without worrying about flooding out your room or house. Water left in trays is a good little backup reservoir imo. But yes, a turkey baster or shop-vac will suffice to remove excess water. With time you'll know how much to water/feed. The "pan" that came with your tent is 100% waterproof. Ideally, the saucers should be capable of containing the 10% runoff.

7) Be patient and remember "less is more" when growing cannabis. With your setup and proper watering practice, they will practically grow themselves.
LEAVE THE LEAVES unless they are dead, damaged or directly blocking a bud site underneath it.

Pro tips: Get good quality ph/tds pens w/ calibration & storage solutions. I recommend "Blue Lab" (little pricy but well worth it imo). A good scale for weighing nutes. Some golf balls (or something similar) for raising the fabric pots up off trays/saucers some. Anything you want to save for later reference, just click the little flag looking icon (next to share icon top right of this box) to bookmark it. Bookmarks can be accessed under your profile pic. Oh yeah, leave some spacing when writing novels, it makes it easier for old eyes like mine to read. Don't ever be afraid to ask questions. There are many people here willing to help and you'll never be ridiculed for asking.

Good Luck and Happy Growing!

ps. sorry it took so long to reply, I haven't been feeling well.

edit to add: You didn't say how old your plants are, but if they're in coco with no nutes yet, they can't be very old. They typically have enough energy in their cotyledons (1st round leaves) to last them 7-10 days, after that they need nourishment (unless in soil).

Also, you didn't say whether they were regular, fem, or auto's.

Auto's get treated differently when growing. They are marketed to new growers, but shouldn't be, bc they can be very unforgiving if you don't know what you're doing.

I just re-read that. On #6 I misspoke. Don't let your roots sit in water kids.
