Hey all! this is my first go around since I moved to the state of Oregon and became a medical patient.

For my first go around i am making use of a 2x4 sun hut and 400w/600w galaxy ballasts. vegged with 400's and just flipped to flower last week and bumped them both up to 600w's (I'm using solarmax and hortilux SHPS 600w bulbs)
In the soil i'm using the general organics line with filtered water and vermi-T

For the ABD i'm using CNS17 (just because i don't know anyone else that's used it) and a touch of hygrozyme to ward off any pythium attack i may encounter.

looks good, what up with that long ass cacti? he's cool.
as for lights, you should get an xxxl 6 and air cool ah 1000w in there!! i got the same hut, cause sun huts are like 3x5(almost)

Edit: im not sure the huts strong enough to hold a xxxl 6, they weigh ah ton. lol

thanks ib!
the cacti is a San Pedro I'm saving him till i'm 40! full of all sorts of good stuff!

anyway, I dig on the 1000's but I really dig more on multiple set points of light. I feel you get a better coverage and for 1200w I'm geting ALOT more the a standard 1000w would. I do like the magnum xxxl's but I just can't fit 2 in the 2x4.
maybe 2 in the 4x.4 I know I can get 2 10" yield masters in the 4x4 and rock the master blasters but I don't have the space for the 4x4.

right now I've got a 2x4 and a 29"Tx44"Wx36"D veg area that will have to work until I can figure something else out. but that's enough for a T5 2' 8 bulb fixture and a 2' 4 bulb fixture with an aeroponic cloner and up to 9 veg plants (in soil 1 gal each) under that T528.
right now looks like:

as soon as I can I'll be switching to all hydro, 10 gal res/top feed drip and a 2x4 Ebb and flow in the tent and work into a 9 week cycle where I take out and put in 2 plants every 3 weeks.

just need to get through all this soil.

I swear to yah, you will get the best results with 1=1000w with a xxxl 6(or something close w/95% reflect)which hooks right up to sun huts vents(sun huts r the best cause you get extra size 2x4=almost 3x5). i want your tent to be the top tent.lol it will be more then enough and cheaper vs 2 600 ballast,2 hoods. i wouldnt stear u wrong. i have a 2x4 sun hut w/ a 8 bulb t-5, 1=1000w would already be overkill.

with the new digitals like Lumatek(run um for years without a single prob) you can run a 600w bulb,750w bulb,1000w, and super lumens.

heck ya man those T5 4 foot 8 bulb fixtures are amazing! anyone play with the VHO's yet?
lumatek is a great ballast but I've always had more luck with galaxy, same difference really. someone else will say another one is better but anyway,
running 2 400/600w switchable galaxy ballasts both of them are now cranked up 10% above 600w's with the overdrive.

plants are responding well can't wait to see what they do
