I actually turned the cloudforge on stupid high to fog the tent. Both controllers sent the same warning about 5 seconds apart.
No clue. Internet search has no pattern of this happening.
Gunna ignore it unless it happens again.
Still fun!

Update
Back to .04 vdp wave.šŸ‘

I can now change tent inside temp up and down from 79 high to 69 low with humidity tracking right on for the whole transition.

It's good after your tent settles out when both apps agree.

So, new modification to the grow strategy.
I have been collecting data from my tent, room , and house. I have found a direct link to environmental stability in the tent to the external environments. It appears there is a upper and lower temp and humidity range for both lung room and basement draw to ensure a very close environment.
So just by modifying my tent temp between 75 and 81 I can maintain the very strict control within .04
I was more focused on tent temperature than overall stability. When the limits are out I can maintain any temp I want but the stability of the environment suffers. I do not think I got stress last grow and slower growth last run due to temp I now think it was stability issues at the higher temps in veg.
On good days I can run higher temps but on bad spec days I will need to limit the grow to 75 degrees to maintain stability.
In addition if the outer environments get worse or better I can modify temps as the stability stays spot on.
I can do this in the 4x4 only. The 3x3 will have humidity support but no heat support. Even on the coldest days previously I could maintain 76 degrees by 65% light power without a heater.

Update
Maint day. Watered all plants at 150 ml at solocup perimeter.
Found 3 seedlings with separation between round leaves and new growth
Lights at 29% 8300 lux +- 100

Was all done. Vacuumed tent and floor. Replaced sticky traps.

Went back in to move sensor cup as plants are 3 inches above cup and found THIS
IMG 20251009 105628016 HDR

Now one of these things is not like the other.
It would have been on for at least 10 hours before night check.
Again time and time day after day I picture myself in front of the butch English lady who tells the grow team that :
" You are the weakest link, goodbye"

Update
Separation of all new growth from coly on all plants. Adjusted vdp trace to .8
This reduces humidity from 79 to 74% This causes a higher transperation by the plants.
Temp most parts of the day at 79
2 plants show visible stretch and will be moved to higher light level areas of the tent.
No new gnants in 24 hours.

After running some more numbers I am going to take the 31x31 and put it in the grow room. I can flush heat and cold from the room but I can not do so out in the general basement area it will stay cold.

Update
Watered all plants 150 ml at solo cup perimeter.
All plants have started 2nd real set and all have 3 leafs.
Moved light to 8500 -+150 lux 31% app control.

Still floating from 76 to 79 depending on lung room. House AC and heat have been off for weeks just letting it go.
3 total gnants in 24 hours random stickys.)

Update
Spate of gnants has me ordering 50 million foot soldiers in the battle of pots.
Be here Wednesday and that would coincide with watering day.
Watered today with 150 ml at solo cup perimeter. I have 3 plants that this prolly will not work next watering as they were touching the cup when put on.
Light at 31% lux 8600 +- 150

Staying at .8 for now as a few plants still waiting on separation.

Everyone looks happy even me.

Tent vacuumed and sticky traps renewed.

Also tracking back official broke ground for all plants will be oct 5 2025.
8 days above ground.

Going back to pics being tagged with days above ground.

Update

Not much this am but a peek inside. On autopilot for now.

Well after saying I was going to put the 31x31 in the grow room I have decided that would not work

The lung room is closed and any heat generated by the 4x4 is vented into another room.
The 31x31 I do not have the time to run another vent hose out of the room. The room is still packed with stuff and I can not access the wall to cut and run the duct work. This will cause 2 issues
The 30 pint in the room works well with the humidity from the tent pumped out but with another humidity load from the 31x31 and another 400 watts of energy heat I would need another 650 cubic feet of air displacement from somewhere. The transfer fan from the reserve basement area is low enough but the amount is like way short as it is just a repurposed register fan.
This will be an upgrade before the next grow. But I will leave the 31x31 outside the room and work with what I got.

Another change.
The 7 pots that I started and ran 5 days before the seeds sprouted worked great. They had settled properly and we're taking water perfectly.
The 4 I did after have been hydraphobic and had to be leveled with gnant dirt.
All pots will be in a working tent and watered to runoff with neem drench to kill off gnants and no more of this bullshit. 7 day empty pot run to stabilize.
I am thinking this is the best change I am going to make next run .

This reminds me of fish tanks. They tell you to let it sit and run for at least a week to stabilize the environment. Think I should probably do this when I set up my new indoor grow.

Update
Dispatched 10 million warriors of the nematode mercenary group to assault the Gnant horde. Transportation provided by team roh20. Each pot was attacked with 250 ml with 150 at the headquarters and 100 around the perimeter of the beachead.
Air support will be provided daily to ensure the topmost stays suppressed with additional roh20 providing support.
The horde is tough. I expect to send in more troops in a week. The contract for the mercenary group was for 30 days. Any not used will self terminate at end of contract.

Update
Nematode reaction force has made outstanding gains. Gnant heads mounted on pikes everywhere.

Everybody looking happy.

Great start and IPM. Gonna pick your brain a minute. šŸ˜‰
Other than the gnats and nematodes/sticky traps, what other pest and solution should I expect to encounter in an indoor grow in Michigan/Midwest area.

Outdoors I use insecticidal soap on aphids if I can't wait for the ladybugs to show. But how do you spray in a tent? Or do you take the pots out and spray then put them back?

Update
Ok the ACI system seems to have a problem. Trace review found 2 instances where the humidity peaked way above settings and the heater and humidifier were shut off.
So backup plan.
I am going to use the Vivosun app as a backup. I have not used the auto mode for duct fan control but today I went ahead and made a target of 78.3 temp and 77% RH and both of these see settings will turn the duct fan on.
This is a temporary problem that will go away once the panel starts hitting numbers of at least 50% as at that time the heat load will be enough to run the duct fan all the time for a lung room breeze.
ACI on a ups with surge and I can tell when we loose power as 4 clocks would need a reset. Plugged and unplugged every single ACI connector and power supply. The controller is on a bench and is not subject to tent vibrations.
May shout out to ACI for some advice.

My system uses a 3 barrier system as follows
Outer barrier is outside of the grow room. It includes 2 " honey " traps with stuff any self respecting bug would love. Apple slices dirt and kept moist. After 2 days if you bump the 2 gallon plastic bucket a swarm comes out and is everything under the sun. Flies, earwigs, gnants, ants, even a cricket. Every 2 days I put a top on the bucket to take outside and clean the bucket. When cold I nuke it with defender and pour it down the sink.
Closer to the room is a self closing door hinge and a rubber strip on the bottom of the door to reduce airflow into the room. Study showed flying insects use air currents to find pathways into closed areas. I also use defender on the baseboards in the room and on the carpet. This stuff is pet friendly and lasts the whole grow.
Inner barrier is every hole in tent carrying airflow is on an insect screen and of course sticky traps in pots.
I have also as of last grow started to take a group picture of the sticky traps and blow them up with zoom. I did this after a guy who had spider mites showed 2 pics one normal and one zoomed in. There is a stage in spider mite life cycle that you can not see with eyeballs alone unless you have robot eyes or something. I have never had spider mites.
I wanna keep it that way.
Chemicals are limited. I am not/never going to spray a flower and then wash it to smoke. Sounds iffy and dangerous. I have used neem oil as a drench in the pot and I recommend this at minimum 3 weeks above ground as the excess water at sprout has a high mortality rate but it does work and with one application.
I also use the glowing blue sticky traps several places in the house. The gnants this year were the worst ever and the cats bring em in. I am pretty sure the gnants this year came from a bag of happy frog. And the way it happened was obvious after the fact. The bag was prolly one of the last ones on a pallet that prolly held 100 bags and it had been sitting a while is my guess. It was not wet and it was not ripped but even so I got bugged.
The active running tent for 7 days will hopefully end the Gnant issue
Hope that helps.

Trace for first 11 days
Opening up the tent has a big swing to it and I am working on ideas to minimize the tent movements.
Can get 4 pots out in 1 minutes and do them on stand or do all pots in tent and takes 30 minutes and buzzers and alerts and sirens going off N stuff.
