There’s no configuration you can do to raise the lights? My CMH was always on ratchet straps until my girlsWhat do I do if my colas are reaching my cheap LEDs? They are currently about 6" from the light. No light burn so far. I've seen other grows where people are letting the buds hang out right at the LEDs. Is that the answer?
My lights are about 16" from the canopy.
A look from tonight.

Stretched to 4 inches under the light, I ditched the straps on this one, and used industrial zip ties rated for 185 lbs. it bought me like 6 more inches
Just looked at your thread. Plants look happy. As far as how close to the lights, that depends on the lamps. You should of got recommendations on that from the manufacturer. My G8 LED'S are very powerful, no closer than 16" on them. What do I do if my colas are reaching my cheap LEDs? They are currently about 6" from the light. No light burn so far. I see you saved some money and rigged a way to reduce noise on a fan. When you can afford it, and if noise is an issue, you may want to consider a variable voltage transformer [Variac Controller] which costs about 75 to 90 bucks. With those, the only noise you hear is the sound of the air moving thru the ducts. Zero motor noise. I run 2 of them, one on the intake and one exhaust. But, I must be super stealthy is the reason.
Btw, a cheap fan speed controller sold on almost all grow sites and hydro stores will have your motors roaring after a couple grows. Pic provided. :cool:View attachment 811547 View attachment 811548
Flash from camera won't hurt anything. Turn the lights off just long enough for pics, and you may need additional room lighting for good pics, depending on the camera. Then lights back on. Just don't take pics during dark cycle. Lookin good man. :cool:Plants are constantly on the move up! Had to adjust my lights 3 times in the past 3 days. Any advice on taking pictures without the blurple showing? I'm assuming flash with the light off works but is there any negative affect to the plants in flowering like stress from that sudden flash? I was thinking of waiting for the end of my grow to get shots of the finals harvest but it would be nice to see their true color in photos before harvest as well.

Looks great! One question, do you like the meizhi or viper better? My meishi burnt half blues diodes out after 1 year. But my other meizhi mr is still working after 12 months.
Wow man your setup looks cool ! Cant wait to see your actual final harvest numbers :)
Did you get as a clone or seed? Do you know which type of og it is? I just got a Tahoe clone only (swerve), the thing is way lanky n I'll have to use something to support her up. Is yours like that too?Photo update - OG Kush slowly frosting up!

Thanks man, I had at 24 inches and lowered, I'm down to 10 inches from the top now and they seem to bush a lil more. I've heard heat can stretch them too n we had record heat in co. So my closet we 90 or so and I think that contributed, to a strain that is known to be lanky in the first place. Does your throw 3 leaves? Mine is mostly 3leaves. Good luck with your og, I've heard that originals are hard to get so that's awesome you got a seed one. Mine I thought sinces it's been cloned out so much my have lost a lil vigor, but I love smokin og so much I had to try her out :)I wish I could tell you all the info on the og kush but it was a freebie from wherever my friend bought the white widow seeds from so not a clone. Friend didn't want a paper trail for himself so he got rid of all the info and forgot it all unfortunately. He said either the seed bank or the breeder had a lion for the logo if it rings familiar to anyone.
What distance do you have your meizhi LEDs from the top of the clone? When I started my grow, I had my white widows stretch because I had them sprouting under 2 underpowered t5's that were a little to far from my sprouts and they stretched to get more of that t5 light but the og kush got more light from the t5s because of how I had them set up. I had to prop up my white widows at the start as well and eventually installed 2 meizhi LEDs at 24" from the top of the plant for veg.
For clones, I have no idea what distance they need to be at but you can always inch the light down bit by bit while monitoring the affects on your Tahoe and see if it helps. Depending on how old your clone is, 18" - 24" can be a safe distance to start with but you'll have to monitor it to be sure its not burning from that distance just to be safe. I have some clones rooting now so I wonder if I'll encounter the same lankyness from the start as well which is probably a yes from the looks of it.
