So just a little update. I spent the weekend trimming and cleaning out the flower room, belaching trays, fans, wiping down walls lights etc.
The buds are hanging..finally. lol

The first two pics are the first plant before and after trimming.

The pic with the pile is 8 hours of trimming. It took me and my wife two 12 hour days. I have decided I am not a fan of trimming. lol I had friends offer to help weeks ago and I said " oh no, we got it" Lesson learned...never turn down help trimming. :)

Thank you J, I really appreciate all the advice, opinions, and support you have given me on this grow. You are definatly an asset to the farm. I am glad we crossed paths. I wish I could share a bowl with ya. :passingjoint:

I do actually have myself in a delima. I moved my plants from veg to flower room. They are so fuckin big. I am thinking it is too late to try and put a screen over them without stressing the shit out of them. I would like to flip the switch asap so I might just flip it with out a screen and use the bamboo poles instead. What do you think?

your screen could just be that white trellis net - something more to support colas and less for training.

I got my screen over them late - it should have been shorter or I should have vegged a bit longer - I was waiting on all those 4 way and 5 way connectors I ordered online...

I have used a trellis I made from bamboo poles and that works well too...

they look kickass and like they need to be turned back asap - lol

I just transplanted part of my next round into 1 gal plastic pots until I can get some smart pots too... What do you think about 3 gal ones with soil? Gonna post picts in my journal later, but I def think it's gonna be fun growing on somewhat the same schedule for the Purple Kush. Although I have to transplant her tomorrow to a 5 gal plastic pot cuz of the bamboo scrog... :icon_dizzy:

3 days drying..prob 2 or 3 to go. I am ready man, my back is so jacked right now. There are some small nugs that are probably smokable now, I might give one a rip tomorrow. The odor has subsided quite a bit. The house doesn't smell like clorophil anymore and they are starting to smell good again.:winking0067:

The weigh in

Stems snapped tonight,so I seperated from stems and transfered to jars. Weight is 810 grams with some pocorns that I decided to dry and trim, they have a couple days to go. My goal was 1000 gms, but I am happy with the result. Pk isn't a huge yeilder anyway.

The last pic is the popcorn that isn't dry yet. I cut it a few days after the rest.

thats not bad at all for your first grow - I think 9 per light (if i rem you had 6) would give you over 1000 grams easily - but main thing is you harvested it and it is bomb - I know your in pot heaven right now, I was my first grow!

stoked for you man! wish I was in the bay so you could smoke some of that fire with me son!

edit: check you jars in a few hours just to make sure its not more moist then you thought...

Thank you brother! I am super stoked. I gave a nug to a couple of my friends that didn't want to wait for th cure..They both were blown away. One of them thought it tastes like a strain he call purple cream..The other said it tasted like sweet grapes. You really have no idea how stoked I am that it tastes so good already. I have been burping for 20-30 minutes 3 times a day. Tomorrow, I will back down to 2 times for the next week.
Oh and I can only flower 12 per my my wife and my script. ;)

I appreciate it. I put alot of TLC into this grow.

I just flipped the switch on my next round, they are a bit bigger than the first round girls were. :) We will see, I would be happy with a duplicate of this one.

I absolutley love this cut of PK/UV.. i just wish it yeilded more.. it has such a strong purple taste and smell.. not to mention the massive resin levels :D

only got about 2 grams left :/

LOL ..yeah they do well with some type pof scrog. I switched to 5 gal smart pots also. :)
