2011 Grow - Cali Conn. Sour OG

Just wanted to share this years medical grow with everyone. I know, I know, I should buy the pack. I agree. But I scored with a female on the single seed from attitude. Im trying a R.O. "smart pot" thats 7 gal. filled with just sushine 4. I wish I used a 20 gal. cause this 7 is looking too small. Anyways heres some pictures.

Planted early May some time.

Transplanted to 7 gal.

A little happier.

Finally starting to take off. She didnt show her hairs till about this size. Hopfully she doesnt show anything else. lol

Starting to flower just after the days started to get shorter. About 1 week in

Getting big. Hopefully she gets thick and not root bound. I'll post some updates as she grows.

I just got a pack of these seeds they look like a great cross!Ya you would have a lot big plant in a bigger pot.I use the 45gallon smart pots and my plants are over 7ft tall already!!

Wassup redman. Im bummed about this pot thing. I usually grow clones or short season plants in 3 to 5 gal. and end up with decent yields so I thought this 7 would be good. But after seeing everyones outdoor grows I learned that huge ass pots=massive trees=ridiculous yields.lol. I got some height issues so next year Ill do a 45 gal. hedge thing. Anyways, nothing to exciting but heres a weeek later. And some random bud porn.

@joecali. Wassup fellow farmer. I thought that was super early to flower too. But it was started from seed outside in May. I got 2 BLZs that are 2 weeks in and a void that's still in veg. that were planted the same time. I don't know, the seasons here are weird. I planted a seed in late Feb. and harvested about 4 oz. in May?? A early sept. harvest on the sour og would be nice.

week 3/4

Here's a update on this sour og grow. Everythings going good except for some minor insect damage. I put some more soil in the pot cause it was getting dry and some roots were exposed but she seems to be filling in nicely.
By the way I use FF Grow for veg. and H&G for flower. I dont use any sprays for the bugs or for foliar feeding. Here's the nutes for flowering that I use...if anyone cares.
---Bio1 component base nutes
---Drip clean all the way through.
---Roots ex. and multi zen for the first 3 weeks
---Bud xl from week 4 till done.
---Top booster...tried it a couple times and I'm not a big fan of it but your suppose to use it with shooting powder so maybe I'm not getting the full effect.
I started using a digital camera instead of my phone so the pictures should be a little better. Thanks for stopping by.

week 5/6

So its now week 6 and this plant makes me smile more every day. It's very easy to grow so far and is not picky about nutes or ph. I think I got more of the ogk side pheno because the buds are so dense and look almost like the raskal og I have. Golf ball buds for real. Kinda off subject but for any new growers starting out I highly recommend getting a digital ph meter, it will prevent alot of headaches. I've been growing for years without one and about week 3 of this grow I got one and what a difference. Apparently my tap water was 7.2-7.8 and after I add the nutes it measures 5.2-5.8??? Not sure if that's bad or not but I adjust it to the 6.5ish range and the plants seem sooo much happier. We had some major winds the other day and some pistil on one side of the buds turned brown but new white ones are still coming out so I think its ok. She kinda took a beating though. I'm talking 35-50mph winds right at her. I'm supprised the whole plant didnt fall over. Also got a couple clones about a month ago from a friend saying how good this strain was blah blah blah..lol. Now I have spider mites. But that's my own stupid fault. I just mention that cause I know someone will see some damage in the pics. Hopefully they dont take over. I'm not going to spray anything just cause its so much into flower already. Finally some pictures...

Looking good SurfdOut. Looks like you got more of the Chemdog #4 in there. Nice liitle Christmas tree. Let me know if you'd definitely run it again. That usually says how good it really is. A smoke report and cured pics would be cool too. By the way, nice hawaiian chili peppers in the background. Those buggaz is hot. Burn your mouth and your... Never mind. Thanks again brah.
