I’m pleasantly surprised haha

It’s getting chillier. Greenhouse does a good job of staying warm as long as the suns out. Curious how much the heater helps. I work tonight so I won’t know for a while 🤷‍♂️

Chugging along! Jack herer I swear was so happy to be broken lol

Today I felt like I was playing it a bit safe, so I decided to find the edge of ‘over feeding’

Last week I fed them with 2 gallons of water with one big spoon full of gaia power bloom. Similar today, I fed them with 2 gallons of water with 1/2 cup of power bloom (about two of the spoons)

Didn’t use all the water, watered one round then let it sit for a second, then a second pass. Probably just over a gallon of water between the 7 plants.

Just realized I’ve been feeding my runt with powerbloom but it’s not showing pistils yet. Oops 🤣

Prep time! Mixed a wheelbarrow full of soil.

Estimated ratios:
40% compost
40% horse shit
20% top soil from the side yard 💀

Had some old nutrients I wanted to get rid of (bone, blood, and kelp meal). Mixed them with worm castings and put two big scoops into each pot. Will it help? No idea.

Gonna plants seeds with great white on the outside of the pot so I can do a better lst on them.

Greenhouse is nice and hot but nothing has popped yet. little early.

Are you starting the seeds in the greenhouse?
Extra high or low temps may rot them before they germinate. (ask me how I know)

Yes I am. I have them in there because I was worried it would be too cold in the garage.

When should I worry about rotting? like while they’re floating? or in the soil?

My experience is:
I soaked seeds in the house, then put them in seed starting mix and moved the tray onto the porch where temps stayed near 80 most times and they rotted. I know this 'cause I dug them up and squished them and ooze came out of the shell.

It would probably be best to keep them at around 70-75 degrees until they're up and they've shucked the seed cap. IMHO

But, this is your experiment and I just had to add my 2 cents. (had my cookie and a beer, so a bit more 'talkative') LOL

Hahaha of course! Your advice is welcome, yes it is an experiment but hopefully I can keep it from being a total failure lol

This previous round of autos I started outside but it was hooooot, like hundreds if I recall. Might explain why three I had didn’t pop up.

I will definitely keep an eye one them, thank you for the heads up.

got frosty today! Luckily heater is set up. Greenhouse says it’s 41, heater kicked off probably an hour ago. Might turn it up now that it’s getting freezey.

Good news, seeds have popped, will probably plant midday when the soil warms up lol
