Thats awesome! You’re going to have some rocking soil! You could throw some of that great white like stuff in it to help that part alongMixed some soil for next season. Hoping the 4-5 months of sitting is enough.
1 part is 1 wheelbarrow
2 parts manure
2 parts top soil
1 part perlite
1 part wood chips
1 part part compost
Also added about 2-3lb worm castings, about 10lb fish bone meal, and maybe 5lb combined of gaia power bloom and all purpose. Hosed it a bit with each layer and stirred.
Really gonna test rhis ‘you can’t overfeed with organic’ theory. Worst comes to worst I’ll mix in more top soil.
My wife ordered a bad ass hexagon green house on temu before the tariffs hitwanna do three garden beds in it with two plants each. Here’s to hoping.
I hope it works outThats awesome! You’re going to have some rocking soil! You could throw some of that great white like stuff in it to help that part alongmaybe you dont need that as the compost should start all that naturally right? either way I like what you got going on!
I’ve been making a “hot compost” with my chicken shit and coop bedding! it should be ready by this next spring! (veggie garden only not ganja).
Tell her that was going to be your “1 pound plant” and she owes you a pound from the store now!Water day.
Frosted guava is definitely a photo. Also looks SO SAD. Maybe it got too close to the heater.
Was showing my wife how frost the cheese was getting when she asked why I hadn’t bent it over like the others. I was about to explain that I did and almost broke it when she pushed it and it SNAPPED. So hopefully it keeps together I don’t want it to die in flower.
lmao rightTell her that was going to be your “1 pound plant” and she owes you a pound from the store now!
I can totally see my wife doing this. lol. (she doesnt even know what im doing in the shed)![]()

hell yeah!!! Love the commitment to spousal torture!well fuck
totally disconnected. probably gonna die, but why just let itwe scraped up the cut because there was a good amount of calloused material. Dabbed each end up with some great white water. Made a duct tape band aid with a cloth strip in the middle lined up with the break so it can sorta breathe.
Science! And a reason to guilt my wife every second
Mixed more soil for next year. Pulled the tarp off and it smelled like wet garbage. Probably a bad sign, hope it was just too wet. Layered and gave it a good stir. Will probably let it sit until february and marinate lol.Mixed some soil for next season. Hoping the 4-5 months of sitting is enough.

All looks good, not sure about the wood chips. Usually you want wood chips completely composted before using. All the horse manure around here is full of wood chips for bedding, takes a few years for the wood chips to break down before using. I think it was that Viking cat that explained why it’s not a good practice. The rest of your stuff in there is good.Mixed more soil for next year. Pulled the tarp off and it smelled like wet garbage. Total recipe
2 wheelbarrows manure
2 top soil from yard
1 perlite
1 wood chips
1 compost
1 dead grass/straw
1 oak leaves from my neighbors yard
1 garden bed soil (dirt manure compost and grass ripped from yard, dumped in my old weed soil as well)
dressed up with worm castings, gaia green power bloom and all purpose, fish meal, kelp meal, gypsum, and azomite. Got some seabird shit on the way. Don’t ask me what it does I’m following AI’s lead![]()

Yeah I had mixed in a wheelbarrow and read they use up a lot of nitrogen when breaking downAll looks good, not sure about the wood chips. You can screen out the wood chips before you use it. I wouldn’t have a tarp underneath the pile, not sure if it’s helping anything. I like mine to be on the dirt, turn it over weekly. It keeps everything moving. Your mix is good, definitely want it composted, meaning broken down by all the little shit that lives in there. Open to the ground lets worms and other stuff get in there and chow down. Bug shit and dead microorganisms is what you are looking for. For a guy who says he knows nothing , you got it going on. It takes time to figure it out, if I can do it, any dumbass can. Not implying anything about you with that statement!Yeah I had mixed in a wheelbarrow and read they use up a lot of nitrogen when breaking downtoo late to pull them out, hoping time helps.
Also feel I’m a little nitrogen heavy? I added manure straight. The compost I added was manure and leaves. and the fish meal? I think it will correct itself, I’ve got a bit of time.
I appreciate your advice your plants and garden are bad ass![]()

HahahahaThank your wife For me! That one still counts towards the, Eat, crow or not! You’re going to haul all that over to Modesto? I suppose you could just fill pots up and take them over! That should get your neighbors attention!
