I have a full roll of Mylar that would look good on that
Are you using if just for a net support or so you can cover it or both? You going to be growing outside or inside?

Both and more. It will be on my patio with only diffused light so I'm using supplemental lighting. I have photos out back so need to cover it . I also will need some light dep too. Aftis this challenge, I will probably use the frame for additional protection for a mother after I winterize the patio. Not sure if it's doable but I'm gonna try.

I will have to water it daily why don't I just put it in coco if water will be daily

I remember seeing a post about the difference of 1 gal from US to EU but don't remember the deets. If I stack a cloth 1/2 gal US on top of a 1 gallon US is that too much?

Just trying to nail down the pot size thing ;)

It equals about 1.2US gal to make 1 EU gal we are allowing up to EU imperial gallons so 4.5 L max the gorilla tent bags I bought are 1.5 US gallons fill line at 1 gallon but I know that I can utilize just under half of the space above the fill line and be within the 4.5L so my plan is to fill to the fill line at flip up pot, then utilize the extra headspace for top dress mid flower

Me using Fem seeds

I’m contemplating running some seeds sent to me from 2012 some old emerald triangle bag seed (strains are known) I have 1-2 seeds of each strain, but not sure I may pop another cman x okie or GP x okie or one of the backcrossed cement shoes fems I made I haven’t ran yet (only ran the origional seed I was sent from that 2012 collection, and backcrossed her to save the genetics) (I think @Captspaulding is or has splashed a few recently though)

I had my finger hovering over the buy button for one but they seem like less than a gallon actual capacity that’s why I went with the bags just to be sure i can max out the plant

Another reason is it’s hard to calculate amendments when guessing at how much soil you have

I was gunna run this pot, a “1 gallon” pot from a hydro shop of all places lol, next to a 1 liter bottle of cal mag… yeah… that’s about a half gallon actual pot here’s my tester plant cman x okie in that size pot, so I’ll be happy to see how much bigger she’ll be in a true 1 gal

I'm in the same boat, indecisive about which variety I want to run. I'm thinking about just going a little wild and popping one of everything

Oh I also wanted to say I'll probably be participating in this challenge "in spirit." I kind of have a personal rule about never sharing photos of what I am currently growing, online. Even though I'm not breaking any laws or anything, I'm just paranoid like that I also stay TF away from 99.9% of all social media - this site being the only place I exist online

So that being said, I will take photos as I go, but I'll probably wait to upload them all en masse at the end of the season. If that "disqualifies" me from said challenge, that's cool. But I'll still be participating along with you all as we go, and following all the rules as well.

You can find true Air Pot capacity on their website or usually in the description.
My Air Pot is advertised as a 2 but is actual capacity is 4.4 liters
A lot of companies say it's 2 gallon but it's actually a #2 Air Pot.
That's why a lot of the sizes advertised are not actual capacity because they are #1, #2, #3, etc pots, not 1 gal, 2 gal, 3 gal, etc.

Yep that’s what I mean lol some folks will be growing in a half gallon, I mean my cman x okie is doing great in it but she’d probably be at least 50% larger in a double size pot

Did a quick check to be sure the cover will be ok. Looks fine. Still need to work out some logistical details but this might actually work. Lol

My first review just off the listing, $20 for 4 bags, not bad at all if the quality is as good as it appears,

then 600g thickness. Most seem to be between 200-300g, so I’d imagine a bit more rigid and robust and better to hold up in the long run for repeated use

Then it gives you additional headspace in the pot (great for reasons like this where we want a true gallon and most “gallon” pots in the us are really between 1/2-3/4 of a gallon… a US GALLON) like I go tan my current “1 gallon” pots I’d easily be less than half the medium that someone growing in a imperial gallon pot, so it’s cool they specify that plus the US 1 gallon mark, as 1.2 US gallons is about dead on for a British imperial gallon that means all those using the EU gallon could use these pots as well and still have .3 US gallon headspace for amendments etc etc

I was originally searching air pots, I prefer hard pots but I gotta say, I’m impressed with the Frostette in the 12 gallon bag, I’m considering picking up 4 of these bags in the 10-15 gallon range

Master Blend. Can't beat the price or the quality. Going 100% coco/Masterblend with my fall garden.
