So wait, what? Are you saying you're going to be growing a hemp plant? I, too, am a hemp farmer so I can help you with any questions you may have regarding legal issues with it. What state are you in, if you don't mind? Is it a weed legal state or no?

You should be alright come inspection time as long as you are not growing weed within your registered hemp area.

Also, may be easier to just fill a solo cup with whatever media you choose, pack it in nice and tight, stick the seed in about 1/4-1/2 an inch deep (with pointy part of seed pointing up) and then carefully, slowly, water it in until completely saturated. Should see sprout sticking out of the soil/media within 5 days or so. Keep it wet until you see a sprout, don't let it dry out.

I am in NC hemp licensed thru usda but still learning both growing and testing issues together. I have been informed how is being done to skirt the limit since you have to harvest 30 days after testing but test is only for the 30 days before harvest, it's not tested again after that time.

And these triploids are nowhere near regular hemp qualifying I have 3 strains
1.4n Gelato33 x Purple Punch x Strawberry Banana triploid
2.4n Blackjack x Romulan Grapefruit x Strawberry Banana triploid
3.4n Blackjack x Romulan Grapefruit x pre98 Bubba x Sweeties

So NC is operating under USDA rules? Each state was given the choice to either go on USDA rules or, have rules they created but are approved by the USDA.

Here in Colorado we had an issue with the language in our rules regarding testing. Originally it was "test no less than 30 days prior to harvest" - it was recently (2022 I believe) changed to "test no MORE than 30 days prior to harvest" - as it should be.

Basically it is your responsibility to test your crop frequently towards mid to late flower. You need to find out what certified lab they will be using for your compliance testing, and have them test your crop several times before the 30 day mark. You need to watch your THC levels and make sure you are not getting too close to that ridiculous 0.30% limit, and schedule your compliance test accordingly.

I learned the hard way and had to destroy my entire first hemp crop because the language in the rule confused the fuck out of everybody. But yes testing/lab fees are a big part of growing hemp legally that a lot of people do not realize until it's too late.

At any rate, so when they do come out to sample your crop they will take random samples from random plants, so knowingly trying to grow a "weed" plant amongst your hemp crop would not be a good idea.

I would simply grow the plant in a separate area (if at all possible) and keep it quiet. If you're already growing hemp legally, keep it legal. Unlikely anyone's going to raise an eyebrow about a plant in the closet or something 🤠

While learning I am indoors and small time only in a2×4 currently but 8×8 going into assembly before weekend. The 2×4 will be inside the 8×8 for breeding and mother plants for cloning. As once these triploid seeds are popped that's it they will be clone only. Here is a picture of one of these strains and seed it for from being in a pollinated tent and a seed from the hermed orange creampop. Creampop left triploid Right.

Hopefully all goes well! Some pretty bold claims about triploid cannabis seeds I've been hearing about. Would like to see how these pan out!

Tomorrow morning I'll place them in peat cups with coco coir. WOOT! LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!

Yeah they seem pretty good so far, I’ve run a couple other strains from them and the only issues I’ve had have been caused by myself. Germ rates seem good as well so I’ve put all my eggs in the one basket

I was working on a cross of GDP x Magnum auto that produced some "fast buds" but also produced some never developing females as well. I didn't like those so haven't revisited this cross in the past few years. I still get better production from from regular seeds with a quick veg of 5-6 weeks. Autos are notorious for being small and I've grown and bred a few strains. I'm entering an auto and a reg😉

That sounds fire. still new to growing so i havent been able to cross anything but i did create a hermie my first grow so i have like 100 seeds on accident lmaooo

I’m almost there folks! I dropped my seed in the cup, pics in hand I’ll post once I get the new topic started! Gimme a bit it was a stoner day got baked and cut lawns between rain storms, then car battery died got a new one and installed it so back in business! Now I can smoke and relax all day!
