I keep Misquito bits in my 5 gallon water jugs, I rotate fill them 24 hours (usually 48 hours) hours before I use them, so they sit with the BTI in it as it off gasses, been ding it for 3 years now and haven’t had a large outbreak since, I’ll get a few here and there right at the beginning of the grow (not too often with the promix but I bought some coast of Maine potting soil for my tomato’s I had in the lab and holy shit was that a disaster)

Got that soil outta the house and after a week of normal waterings they dissipated to maybe I’ll see one or 2 here or there, (Captain jacks insecticidal soap will decimate them in a pinch BTW)
Good looking out. I missed explaining that step. Mosquito bits has to be soaked in water for at least 30 minutes prior to use. I personally make it the day before, so it can sit for at least 12 hours. To me, 30 minutes is like the 2 pump chump…It gets the job done, but it won’t make your ladies as happy as they could be.

I use those jugs to fill my 1 gallon watering can, i use about 1/2 cup of dry bits per 5 gallon jug, if I’m mixing a lot of juice at once I’ll funnel it into an empty 5 gallon jug I keep for mixing I never add anything to the water jugs directly, then mix there but I keep the misquito bits in that jug and never leave less than 2” of water in with them, then fill the jug back up from the tap to sit until the next time it rotates up for use, I replace the actual misquito bits once every month or 2x I replace them when the water looks very cloudy, that cloudiness is the bacteria building up so i consider it good until it starts to take on a milky appearance and you’ll see the floaters in the water then I drain the jug rinse it out and start over, I do like to dump the initial water that the new BTI went into… consider it a flush

Very similar to the way I do it, only I use my nose to know when it is time to dump the bits. It has a very distinct musty smell when good, and an acrid smell once it goes south. I dump the used mosquito bit pellets in to my tote of used soil. Once that tote is full, it gets upgraded to worm bin for 6+ months and then emended and reused.

I dump mine right into my compost pile out back 😁 agreed with the smell, good indicator just like when making teas!

Morning Farmers I was gone for a day left wed. morning to visit my daughter in Eugene. So as you all know i put my shit auto Darla in the greenhouse and i've not seen her since. Best of luck, gal! I'm sure the greenhouse is doing well.

And remember.. even the ugly plants need loving too 🤣

First up-pot day for my little Apollo plant and the others I started with her. Doing pretty well. Been training her since week 1. She's a good girl 🤠
I need to start folding, and I really want to top. The light bulb clicked last night reading through some of your guys’ posts! 💡

Looking good man!
Looks a little stretchy IMO so may want more light, even the seedlings off to the side of your pictures look like they want some more light as well.
That's my opinion anyways lol

Uhh…. Hmm day and a half in her new pot and… a root is already poppin out the side hole? Stem looked like it thickened overnight

Yes I’m an asshole to my plants, no fan back here still gotta pick one up… but they endure lol,

But that seedling shocked me she defenitly widened up, pushing 5th node I think tomorrow is topping day, really diggin this SF600 they are happy enough right up against it but keeps these seedlings compact as hell just like the cman x okie tester turned out

Here it is btw in the half gallon pot I was gunna use lol her progress is giving me massive hope especially since this GP x okie x cement shoes is defenitly 1/3 to 1/2 bigger than the cman x okie was at her age seedling
