Everyone had a shit ton of kittens on the picture thread.....I was gonna pretend to not have read the rules and such and keep it going with those, but........

What is your secret to those amazing pictures? Are you using a phone to take them?

I always have problems capturing the traits I want to show in my pictures, I can see it plain as day with my own eyes but my pictures don't show what I want.

Very much appreciate it! Yeah, I just use my phone for all but the trichomes shots. I have an S22Ultra and I use the Pro Mode so I can manually change the shutter speeds, ISO, etc. I either use my black tent as a backdrop or a black cloth. Mostly it's camera settings, less harsh lighting, and at the right angles so the right reflects away from the camera. This allows you to capture the colors and. It the reflection of the lights.

So somebody here said something about copper? Well, funny thing, I had these come up on my Amazon Vine (Vine is an exclusive, invite-only "club" of reviewers who get to order certain things made available to us, for "free" (have to pay tax value on shit we order) in exchange for an honest review) anyway, these - www.amazon.com/dp/B0D5CG2GWZ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

And not knowing a whole lot about electroculture in the first place, I went down that rabbit hole a little bit 🤣

It's not new, at all. Been around for a long time, but kinda swept under the rug of commercial fertilizers. I'm always down for taking the road leas traveled. I'll give it a shot, why not? What could it hurt? And since I got these for "free" shit, might as well! 🤠

And you could use a divining rod as a moisture meter. 🤣

Is it really about "electricity" or simply a form of copper amendment? If so, why not just toss some pennies in your soil? What is supplying the current for this alleged "electroculture"? Would'nt a metal with higher electrical conductivity be more effective? If so, why don't people use that?

They make these soil warmers that you can bury in your pots to maintain a higher soil temp in colder climates or a winter greenhouse. Works the same as an electric blanket by running a low voltage electrical current thru the wires. Wouldn't those grow bigger better plants too?

The premise is that it allegedly draws "atmospheric electricity" into the soil, and increases nutrient uptake (or reduces need for nutrients), increases yield and quality, and prevents pests 🤣

The thing is, in my experience, there's always a little truth in fiction. There are a lot of old techniques, for just about everything, that have been lost/forgotten over time due to one reason or another. That doesn't necessarily mean they're wrong, or didn't work, they were usually just replaced for something that worked better, was easier or more readily available, etc.

For instance, one of my mentors growing up taught me some long lost techniques that date back to the dark ages before people knew what fertilizers were. And they do work, it's just a different road leading to the same destination.

Now as far as electroculture goes? At this point I have about as much faith in it as snake oil... But I'll try anything, once 🤠

Sorry to post on topic everyone. I'll only be a second. 🤣

Working with unfamiliar pot dimensions and unfamiliar soil is definitely proving to be a challenge. With the clay content, the soil holds water differently/longer than I am used to. Only watered twice since transplanting and have managed to over water each time. Wtff?! 🙄

Ok I'm done. Carry on pepple.......
