Sorry if I'm not as involved on the forum this week, I'm in trim jail 😅
I actually don't like calling it that, I'm one of the few that probably enjoys trimming.
I don't even use gloves, love how sticky and smelly my hands/fingers get, it's all just part of the experience!
I use to dread it, would take my 3-4 hours to do 2 ounces but now I can cut through 4-5 in a couple hours.
The AC Infinity Trim Tray I just got in the mail today is definitely making things more comfortable, able to sit back on the couch and go to it with the tray in my lap instead of hunched over a table with my back killing me.

Looking forward to getting the trimming all done as soon as possible because I'll be doing my first full run of Autos in my Spider Farmer 55"x28"x80" once everything is trimmed up.
Get one of acinfinty trimmer bowls. Things work so good.

Helps that soil top dryback as well so ya don’t get any algae or mildew on top of your soil

I’m also a proponent of leaving all foliage, very rare I have a plant this small with that big of fans though, I only removed those top 2 though kept the lower 4 just removed the top 2 blockers as they were shading the whole plant below, the GP x okie as well as the cement shoes were very large leafed phenos, I’d bet within a week the belt exposed leafs get to the same size,

Still considering a 2nd round of topping though still 50/50 on it, we’ll see how her nodes spread over the next 2 days now that they are exposed if I’m happy with the amount of tops I’ll leave her
You ever use lab to fight back soil algae?

Well healthy roots, drive plant growth. And healthy vigorous plants with lotsa leaves drive uptake. Less leaves less uptake, it’s about surface leaf exposure, generally speaking your rootzone should be the equivalent to plant matter above ground. Ball park. And with the height of that plant, you can def get away with opening up that top, and getting better airflow to the main stalk. I’m the type of dude who will sometimes daily, snag bitch ass fans. I’m constantly trying to open up for new growth.
If I have 10-15% light penetration to the top of the dirt, it helps achieve that balance faster.
thank you for the explanation, makes sense 😍 I can definitely adopt and implement this! I love picking leaves off, I was just always under the impression the more the merrier!😂 thanks!✌️

I've thought about it but the most plants I'll every have done at once is 6 from the 8x4, the tent I'm currently trimming was 3 plants from the 55"x28"x80" tent.
I just sit down after work and trim a plant a day. I did 3 hours last night 2 hours tonight, have 2 plants done and just shy of 13 oz.
I'm trimming when I wouldn't be doing anything anyways so I figure just sit back on the couch and watch TV and trim.
I guess if I was going to spend $150 for growing, I would buy something other than a bowl trimmer. If I was harvesting multiple tents at the same time or grew outdoors, I would consider it.

Here's how I trim -

I don't 🤠

That shit falls off when I pluck a bud from a branch and anything else ends up in my blunt. Fuck trimming that shit is for pussies and beards 🤠

No seriously I used to go through all that bullshit when I was growing for other people. Now that I just grow for myself, I break down branches for hanging up don't bother to buck off the branches or fan leaves that shit falls off later 🤣

I fuckin HATE trimming, can you tell? You trim god damn thousands of pounds and tell me you'll do that shit for yourself, you're either a liar or a sadist 👊 🤠

I was going to trim my stuff from my last run… then I started smoking it and it never happened!😂

No worries dude! I loved your response! It’s real. I hate trimming also! Sorry you’re having nightmares : / that sucks.

Yeah they should include them in their bullshit recruitment commercials 🤣 "Be All You Can Be, And Wake Up In A Pool Of Sweat And Panic Every Night For The Rest Of Your Life!" 🤣

It's a bad time of year for me, too. Seems like everything bad that's ever happened to me or in my life, happened in the Fall. Lost close friends/"battle buddies," shit I don't wanna talk about in Iraq/Afghanistan, every time I got arrested/went to jail was in the Fall, etc. Etc.

Then I get seasonal depression going into winter. Luckily, in my part of CO, we get, on average, about 335 days of sunshine per year, so that helps BIG TIME with the seasonal depression. At least it's not like Chicago where I was born/raised. It just turns gray and shitty from October till April. Fuck the midwest 🤣 no offense if you like it but I'll keep my mountains and sunshine 👊 🤠

Same, I enjoy trimming though, let’s me inspect buds make sure nothing is off etc plus free charas from the scissors and fingers 🤣

I stated perpetual for awhile so I’d only trim a plant at a time about one per month roughly but this next run imma jam 5 of the mauis in the 4x8 I think so that’ll be fun 🤣

Had a similar experience with my wife last night and it was my proudest grow moment of my life.

I’ve been curing my blue dream for nearly 2 months now and I thought I’d treat myself to a bowl.

She pokes her head around the door and says “is that something different then you normally smoke because it fucking stinks” 😂😂😂
Haha best feeling ever… like ding ding ding winner winner 🤣

Returned serviceman hey hats off to you sir thanx for your service my pop was a serviceman served in Korea,Africa and Kokoda never spoke a word of the atrocities he done and witnessed just gambled and drank alone mostly mad respect for you mate not enough done to help you guys out on your return a lot more can and should be done👍

Sounds like a good plan 👍

They make bulkhead fittings with shut off valves on them.

I was going to get that $15 circulator, find a pump, and make a RDWC but maybe I'll just do air stones and see how it goes.
Your "Wonder how many I'll kill" comment made me rethink my decision, hydro may not be for me and don't want to spend more money then I need to if it doesn't work out for me.
I already have a 4 outlet air pump and could just use a cat liter buckets if I really wanted to keep it cheap.
So thanks for that comment 😅
No doubt haha, plus I don’t PH, I normally use organics, I’d have to rebuy all my PH’ong equipment EC meters all that garbage, or I can just keep watering my plants with plain water and lettin the organics do their thing.. still may try one though with a cheapo meter and see what happens lol

Bakeries. I was a doughnut man for a while when I was younger. Almost all the fillings/icings come in 5 gallon square buckets. They are white and semi transparent though, so you would have to cover or paint them or something. But yes try bakeries and restaurants. Including grocery store bakeries.
I use white 5 gallon buckets and just wrap em in gorilla tape then drill holes all over em, used for 6 runs and there sittin clean waitin for the next

@Mikedin, nice root mass. How close is that fabric pot to a true (US) gallon?

I still need to find a final container for mine. I am a little reluctant on fabric this small, because I cannot always be there everyday to water, and worry about too much dry back Do the gorilla bags have the plastic liners on sides?

I don't ph anything either, haven't seen a need to in the soil I've used anyways, I would have to buy the test meters and everything as well.
With synthetics, I don't do any of that mix a nutrient and let it sit for an hour and then use it right away like some do. My nutrients get mixed and it might sit for 5 minutes or 4 days lol.
