No lead all Hunting. You used to have to pay 20 bucks per tag per pig. Now it’s 20 bucks once and it’s good for as many as you want! I hear you on the taste! Some things are good, somethings, not so good. Might as well try and eat them if you’re going to...

If I were to shoot it I'd eat it. Same with fishing, always😉

Wow. I had no clue you couldn't hunt with lead. Missed Plumber's message above until now.

Must have incredible bowhunters out that way.

Wild to me the vast difference in each state here.
Another reason we were looking at Tennessee to move. Here they think making it difficult for the legal gun owners will somehow stop crime. Someone burned down our local family owned business 4 years ago and they never came back. The exact OPPOSITE of the holiday we are currently celebrating🤬

A pig I posted a couple months ago! Not Mine! A guy took it into the processor! And some turkeys, my brother got on my property. It tasted good! I will quit clogging your thread!

I'm sorry your family lost your business. That is horrible. 30 acres sounds dreamy, in a state where you can own guns and open carry without a permit. Whatchu waiting for?

No, you don't have to stop posting. Love it.

Are the pigs just escaped domestic pigs that have become feral? Or is it a completely different breed?

I love turkey hunting. For such a small brain, those f0ckers can really outsmart you. Good on your brother for bagging 2. I do love to watch them. The hens are such good mommies. The way they roost is so odd to me. Scared the shit out of me the first time I came up on some pines with them in them.

Just became legal for me this year. While I am very happy that I can grow in my backyard legally now, I still drive to MI for great deals. Our shops aren't even open except medical and I have no interest in government smoke. Cali is ahead of most states tenfold when it comes to legalization. I've still smoked my entire life. Plenty of us rebels around.

Russian boars were imported. Gnarly beasts! But most of them are just feral hogs that escaped a long time ago and have done well! Too well. I love turkeys also! They walk right through the front yard! Rarely see a Tom. But have a family of three females and about 16 Pults that make the rounds regularly and they are getting pretty big! I love the way they constantly talk to each other!

Questions.
I've been bringing batch 2 in, when the sunsets each evening. I'm bringing them into 70⁰. High today was 85⁰ (high humidity all day). This won't shock or harm them will it? When do I start feeding them? They are 8 days old.

Also, I will transplanting batch 1 tomorrow. What can I put in the soil to help soften the blow of transplanting?

I'm using ocean forest, worm castings, and some mycorrhizal.

I knew you were a rebel too. Ha

Used to go to my friend's cabin every weekend. Entire back half of the hill was covered in turkey. Found out the property behind the cabin was a wild turkey management spot. Very cool bird.

I was at public hunting land spot back in spring. Heard a bobwhite and hadn't heard one of those since my grandma's farm over 30 years ago. Music to my ear, much like turkey.

I’ve never had a problem with transplanting! Just wait till the solo cup gets full of roots, make a hole in the next pot, flip a solo upside down, and squeeze out plant, I even fluff the roots up! And then plop it in the hole and cover it up! Never fed a plant either! Looks like I will have to this year! They can live off the soil in a 30 gallon pot for quite a while! Sounds like a good medium to transplant into! I used to throw some Mycos Into the soil, but I’m not sure it made any difference! Transplanting is a breeze!

I didn't use solo cups. I used nursery cups. They maybe 3". I've use solo next time so I am only transplanting twice. This batch is in 1 gallon black pots moving to fabric bags you and galgrows suggested. I was going to grow in 5 gallons, but after talking with a few of you I got 10 gallons. Still pissed I can't be in the ground. Is what it is. Maybe next year.
Thanks again.
