Big storm rolled thru yesterday evening, with heavy rain and violent winds. Didn't last long, but I caught part of it on video.

The way the winds blow between my buildings, is like the ventury of a carburator, and always changing.

This is why I totally cage my plants.

Ohio is the asshole of the nation, we see all kinds of shit. Was expecting hail with this storm, thankfully it didn't happen.

Seems like the same shit that rolled through my garden yesterday evening…

Do look similar, don't they. Hard, intense, and swift. These are the types of storms that can destroy unprotected plants, especially when loaded with flowers. We usually get some doozy's near the end of September in my parts.
Why we have so much WPM and bud rot at the Pinnacle of the grow. And this year is the wettest summer I can remember, I'm still cutting grass like it was springtime....every few days.

I have not cut grass in over a month. It’s been hot and dry here for the most part. So probably means wet and stormy weather come fall.

Hopefully not. I'm thinking I might need another run of defoliation on these bushes since stretch started. Already pruned and defoliated them twice, now. But shits getting crowded IMO. 😆

I thought I had my spacing far enough apart, but that's how it goes, in ground, outdoors.....a box of chocolate's😉

How far apart is your spacing? I put them about 9’-10’ foot apart. A couple are 6’-7’, but those ones are just about touching each other. (my first grow I spaced them about 4 to 5 feet apart because I never believed they would get that big, boy was a mistaken, lol.

I’ll definitely be doing some more thinning on mine !! They grew much bigger than I was hoping. The one cap junky x cap junky91 that didn’t get topped is officially taller than me 6’3”

8-10'. Apart. Topped and LST

Mine are now all 7'+. My Afghani has hit the 8' mark.😉

Lemon power haze is a true bush of limbs and dense foliage. Third time under the snips.

Pinching more than once before your plant is 3 feet tall creates a tangle of witches brooms that always need the pruners. Removing plant growth that is not obsolete seems counter productive. Why grow it if it's destined to be compost? I remove secondary limbs as buds below 3'. The framework helps keep my feet from getting close enough to compact the soil.

This is the Blueberry Muffin. She's really pushed up multiple leads to be colas. She's 7' tall at this point and still stretching.

And the Ambrosia cantaloupe are coming in!

I only top once, before their ever transplanted outside. I'd never had a plant bush out like this Lemon power haze, from Zamnesia.
