buying a new light. What’s the best light for my set up? Thinking about buying a Vivosun 600wtt light. Or a 1200wt Phlizon light. Though my tent is 2x2x4ft. I plan to upgrade when I grow more plants. And how’s my seedling looking so far. It’s been stretching a lot even after adding a little dirt in the cup. And other than a light what should buy next for the set up.(info on page)
Strain lemon green crack.
Average temp: 75
Average humidity: 60-80
18/6 light cycle.
Soil: Promix premium potting mix
Light: full spec 45wt led.
Par:225
Lux:11800

Pick based on chips, samsung lm301h evo or less better like lm301b...
600W is enough for 5*5 and energy efficient, around 1700par. 1000W with CO2.

Lumatek, F.O.G, mamooth lightning...

Get also inline fan so u could control humidity.

for a 2x2x4 tent you want a 100-150W led

i would personnally pick this one for your tent size.

Perfect though I can’t get the 150 one. I’ll get the 100 wt and keep my other light/lights and put it on the walls. Would that work just as well if not better.

Does the online fan allow me not to need to use a humidifier or does it act as a dehumidifier. Ik I can google all this I just rather have a human answer.

you can do whatever you want, but i d personnally get rid of the blurp light and just get the XS 1500 pro 150W wich imho is just perfect for a 2x2.

to give you an order of comparison i m running a spiderfarmer SF2000 200W in a 2x3x6

I d be carefull with it, having two different lights can cause trouble on intersection of light, this may lead to bleaching.

U definitelly want humidifier during veg. Inline fan will help u decrease humidity to some extent for sure and also suck heat from tent. Depends how much plants u ll have. Get inline fan that can regulate on its own, it doesnt have to run all the time, if environment is optimal.

During veg, u may lower strenght of inline fan, so humidty will not decrease too much.

Everything depends also from your location, u know. If u live in very humid place, then inline fan help just a lil bit.

For example mine running on max maintaned humidity at 55% easilly when there wasnt rainy days (had window opened) but during rainy days it was 65%. Full 5*5, 6 inch fan with filter. 8 plants generates a lof of humidity. Octopots, so upper medium was completelly dry, water came from leaves evaporation.

Maybe go for mars hydro, their new models can be controlled with app. Samsung lm301b.

But they dont have the latest chips, which is samsung lh301h evo.
Lumatek has their own chips comparable to new samsung. Also for small tents. Look for PRO version.

Ok I’ve made my mind anyhow. I’ll be getting the p1000 which gives peak 850par as far as they say. Then upgrade to a bigger light and tent since the pro1500 costs a pretty penny in Canada. Thanks a lot.

Great so could I just have a smart humidifier to maintain perfect humidity and have the fans going as well in sync so that it maintains the perfect environment. Right? Should I just cough up the money and get the whole ventilation done as I get the lights?

A lot of light producers are not honest with their par maps or charts. Not sure whats p1000 model.

Yes, smart inline fan is good but not neccessary, if u r around and can manage. In time u ll know what speed of fan will plant need based on stage or outside environment.
Definitelly u ll need one with a carbon filter for the smell, without it your plants odor will be in a whole house.

U can make your own smart humdifier, on aliexpress are simple motherboards with sensor for just 5-10usd and get atomizer with small DC fan. This way u can have bigger tank for humidifier. On youtube are plenty of instruction how to make humidifier. All those fancy smart humidifiers with bigger tank cost around 100usd I think.
- atomizer head
- sensor with switch
- plastic box (10-20L) and u dont need to do anything for a week
- DC fan (motherboard for speed control if so)
All on alixpress for around 20-40usd
This way you can control output if neccessary just by adding another atomizer head...
Dont use nutrients in this otherwise it ll clog.

Or just regular humidifier 350ml/h, attach plastic box to it to suplement with more water and sensor with switch.

the p1000 will be fine is a shame the price diffrence between pro 1500 and others model isn't the same in US and CA.

with a small tent it could be a real pain to control precisely temperature and rh.

most of the time you ll have to control the environnement in the room where the tent suck the air. i d personaly don't bother at all with temperature and rh and it's just what's the weather and the seasons are like.

a humidifier is really not needed and overrated to achieve healthy and vigorous growth , more important is proper watering pratice and your plant won't bother even with 20% rh, and when flowering you will prefer lower rh to prevent mold.

Thanks, I ment the “ViparSpectra® 2023 Upgraded P1000 100W LED Grow Light” and I have a humidifier but it’s not smart. Would a hygrometer wall plug work work just fine.

Yes it’s such a shame it’s so perfect. It will be the first thing I go for when I get an upgrade. Seems like a good brand. Thanks for the advice will keep in mind.

yes, hygrometer is fine but have sensor near canopy.

Ask first what diodes viparspectra has and compare to samsung lh301b.

yeah viparspectra released this 150W model earlier this year, when most other affordable LED brand like spiderfarmer, phlizon, mars hydro only have 100W models.

they have an account on the forum but no discount code for the CA web site ...

Spider farmer SF1000 has 100w with new lm301h evo

I d go for these for smaller tents...

it’s fine I’ve already gotten my light. Ended up with the 100w pro model . It’s nice 👍 good for what’s it’s gonna be used for. I found a discount code but I still didn’t find want to wait the 10-15 day wait.
