Hey all! I'm looking for some discussion on "How Big is Too Big"
Looking to purchase rain science bags after seeing a friend use them and seeing his root balls after a grow is the evidence I needed to give them a try, the way the roots don't swirll into a ball specifically the reason.
I will be flowering in a 5x10 and using 2 spider farmer sf4000's. With 8 25 gal rain science bags.
My buddy says 25 gal rain science bags are the way to go, period. He likes the ability for the root balls to grow downward as much as possible before they start to want to bind up
My concern is 25 gal being too large in a 5x10. I plan on growing with 8 pots but just the sound of 25 gals of anything sounds massive.
Just curious if anyone has ever tried using the 25 gal rain science bags before.
Or if my buddy is using these huge bags and not getting the full use of the bag, literally the plants being too small for its britches.
I know I can keep they short and fat and not worry too much about height just from previous grows I use scrog netting.
I think 8 25 gal pots is a lot for a 5x10.
Please feel free to add pics or any other products that are similar, not fabric pots, I'm past them.
