250w enough for mother and clones?

Is a 250w light enough for 2 mothers and 10-15 clones in a 3x3 grow tent??

are you running a cooled hood, open ? How far from the tops? I kept a mother and clones under a 150 with some cfl so Im sure youd be fine

Its going to be cutting it close. Not sure how much room you'll have to veg. A 250w gives off a 2x2 footprint if your lucky. Not powerful enough if you ask me. Step it up to a 400 or 600 watt setup

@ UrbanFog - it's gonna have a fan but the good will be closed b cuz the tent is in the same 10 x 10 room as my 2 600w hps that are lightning my 12 plants.....

@ Paulycali - Do u think if I add 4 cfl's over my mothers that it would do the job?

A 250w will work just fine for clones and probably decent on your mothers if they ain't too big.

I used 3 14w T8's on clones and seedlings before and they grew just as fast as when I put them under my 600w, but only for the first 2 weeks.

Keep my moms and cuttings under 25 watt t5s and they are always fine

3x4 room packed full, 125 watts total

Almost no penetration but i dont ever need more than 50-100 clones per month

Will definitely work . of course the better wattage / type of spectrum and all that the better your mother and clones will grow . But it'll do .
