250w halogen lamp

could a 250 w halogen be used for growing? I rarely see any post about halogen lamps. i seen them for $5 each at home depot

i think they are the wrong spectrum or some thing. someone will chime in here and shed some light on those halogens. Good luck

HORRIBLE LUMEN to Watt Ratio

All there good for is creating heat, they might be good for seed germination, but once the seeds pop there useless except for...creating heat

CFL's the way to go

Yeah, halogens are crazy hot. Definatly don't even bother with them.
