2nd grow-grow diary..

This is my 2nd grow completely outdoor from seed to now. Soil grown plus worm castings, compost, chook poo and a small amount of slow release pellet fertiliser at about week 7 because that's all I had. Watered with tap water that was pH 8 till week 9 because I didn't know better, then changed to pH 5.6-6. So not too sure on exact weeks but this one is around 5-7 weeks mid way through winter.

She went into flower after that and I was a bit worried she looked a bit droopy but stuck with the water and these are about week 11.5 current Pic. Almost week 2 of flower.

So started nutrients just over 1 week ago it was her first taste and it looks like she enjoyed it. Week 3 of flower she's had a trim of fan leaves and a tie down giving Veg and Bloom combo probably switch to just Bloom nutrients next week hopefully get those NUGS firing. The flowers seem to be a bit slow growing prob genetics or the shock of being grown in winter.

So another week down which brings her to week 4 flower I've up her to full strength feed every 2nd day. I'm only able to water once a day but she seems to handling it. I've think I know now why she's taking a little long to flower. The bloody deck light she was only getting 8-9 hrs complete dark.. DAMN IT.. Running out of grow space real soon..

So having a few issues with slow development in the flower department seeked advise from the crew on this great page and my mind is kind of at ease as I thought she was soon to be a he. Fixed the deck light issue and now have drilled plenty of holes in the pot to reduce the heat to her roots. I guess time will tell I hope she picks up soon.. So first PIC is week 1 flower then next PIC is now week 3.5 flower with what I thought were balls and then pot ventilating.

Just a quick update things are looking better she started sprouting new white pistols again so hopefully back on track to some nice buds. Probably behind about 3 weeks but still moving forward slowly..

So a little over week 14 and I've restarted the flower clock due to a stressed plant and not enough dark time, with these issues resolved I'd say we're up to week 2 of flower and tracking forword as she starting to sprout new white pistols again and looking healthy. I've had an issues with soil spilling out of the holes I drilled in the side of the pot to keep her cool ( too big ) so I wrapped shade around the pot and issue solved. Hopefully now it's smooth sailing to budsvil.. I've also uped the bloom nuits while keeping veg units the same she seems to like it.

Week 15 and flower production has stepped up a notch which is great news but the main cola site is still yet to produce any pistols hopefully this is normal being furtherest from the trunk.

Week 16, given up on the flower clock as she is soooooo slow but good news the main cola sights are now producing pistols. I've added an extra lot of nuits to her feed it's called cyco supa stiky and she'll get this for the next 3-4 weeks. So my A has Potassium Nitrate, Calcium Nitrate, Sodium Molybdate. My B has Potassium Nitrate, Mono potassium Phosphate. And my Supa Stiky has Mono potassium Phosphate, Magnesium Nitrate, Potassium Nitrate all at 2.5ml per 2.5L of water ph'd to 6.2-6.3. A,B and Stiky in the morning and just 1/2 dose of B at night for 2 days then just water on the 3rd repeat cycle.

Update on this she didn't make it and I've now been through 15 beans with 0% success. Granted my beans are 10 yr old randoms but I thought they were stored well and my current grow was 50% success from 2 beans. Oh well..

Week 17 and man she looks happy hopefully have some more dark time coming her way once my grow tent arrives.. She does love the sun though, hopefully get her a good 13hrs dark each night to get those flowers pumping. Getting some Cal Mag soon try this for the slight curl in her leaves. Feeding her all over the shop when I'm home she gets fed 3 times a day at work she only gets 2. Was feeding 2 out of 3 but this weekend it's 3 for 3 last 2 feeds today will only be about 500 - 600 ppm 6.3ph at 23°C.. Probably feed again in the morning full strength then just water her last 2.. Not sure why but it's working..
